Back in December, I shared a sneak preview of the three Morphe nine pan palettes when they launches in a Morphe brand focus post. Since I got my hands on the palettes in December, I’ve reviewed two of the three palette so far with the Morphe 9C Jewel Crew Palette in December, the Morphe 9B Bronzed Babe Palette in January and now it’s the turn of the Morphe 9A Always Golden Eyeshadow Palette.
All three of these nine pan palettes are Cult Beauty exclusives, meaning you can’t get your hands on them anywhere other than Cult Beauty. In all honesty the 9C really impressed me however the 9B was a little lacklustre in comparison so I was eager to give the Morphe 9A Always Golden Eyeshadow Palette a try and see if it was similar to the 9B or the 9C in terms of formula.
I’ve mentioned this in the other two reviews, but I didn’t anticipate that these mini eyeshadow palettes were actually not so mini at all. I honestly thought they were going to be the same size as the mini MAC x 9 Palettes which size wise can only hold four full size MAC shadow pans.
These three nine pan palettes contain 13.5g of product and are just £12 each, working out at 1.5g per shadow which is a full size eyeshadow making them an absolute steal for nine full size eyeshadows. The packaging is very sleek with a matte black plastic compact, a mirror within the lid and each of the shades have their individual names printed below them which I always appreciate as everyone hates acetate name sheets.
Cult Beauty say;
“Adored for professional-grade make up brushes and sumptuous shadow palettes, Morphe’s brand new (and exclusive to Cult Beauty) 9A Always Golden Eyeshadow Palette unites nine light neutral beiges, tans and soft cocoas in matte and subtle shimmer formulas with intense pigmentation and effortless blendable texture. Perfect for adding some sun kissed warmth to your lids, this is one to add to any seasonal collection.“
Surprise – a pale light gold shimmer.
Myself – a light peach satin.
Splendid – a warm toned light brown.
Brews – a dark neutral toned brown matte.
Witness – a warm toned medium brown matte.
Taken – a cool toned deep dark brown matte with golden glitter particles.
Connection – a dark chocolate brown shimmer.
Aware – an orangey brown matte.
Storm – an intense black matte.
I cannot believe how intense the pigment is within this Morphe 9A Always Golden Eyeshadow Palette, the pigmentation is so much more intense than the 9C and 9B palettes. I know that some people will look at this palette and think it’s perhaps a little boring as it’s a straight up neutral palette with no pops of colour or intensely metallic shades. It’s very much more of an everyday palette which can give you the most subtle, day time looks through to a deep and intense smokey eye.
There’s only two shimmer shades in the whole palette and I do wish they’d perhaps included a couple more shimmers in place for the multiple warm toned brows but I love the colour scheme in this palette. If you’re a neutral eyeshadow fan, this palette couldn’t be more perfect and it’s the ultimate travel palette as it does offer you many different looks with the mixture of tones and finishes. Out of all three palettes, the Morphe 9A Always Golden Eyeshadow Palette is my favourite as it’s such an amazing quality palette and it’s crazy to think it’s only £12.
