Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio PLUS 12 Fluidity Concealer Swatches

When Morphe announced that they were launching a massive range of foundation and concealer shades for their first base product range, there was a serious amount of hype on social media. I did a post all about the Morphe Fluidity launch here, and when I saw the Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio on special offer on the Morphe UK website I knew I needed to snap it up, especially as you could receive a free card of samples for the foundation in your chosen category.

I’ve been dying to try the Fluidity Foundation but I had no idea which shade I needed so the sample card looked like it would be perfect for helping me decide which shade/s I needed. The Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio was only £19 yet it has a value of £30 which I thought was really great value. At the moment, the Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio is only available on the Morphe UK website but I really hope it makes its way to Cult Beauty soon.

Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio

The Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio contains two full size makeup brushes and a makeup sponge. I knew I needed this kit as I already love the Morphe brushes, but I also loved the Morphe Stiletto Sponges I tried previously a couple of years ago, so I knew I’d get a lot of use from the three pieces within the collection.

The first item in the Morphe Fluidity Brush and Sponge Trio is the M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush worth £16 which has synthetic bristles, then we have the M173 Mini Buffer Brush worth £5.50 which also has synthetic bristles and finally the Complexion Beauty Sponge worth £8.

The two brushes are amazing just like all Morphe brushes I’ve tried but for me the star of the kit is the sponge. It’s so, so good and extremely soft and bouncy when applying both foundation and concealer. I think this is a great kit to own regardless if you’re a makeup brush collector with a massive collection, or a small collection you’re looking to grow as it covers all bases – literally, and the buffer brush is almost the price of the kit alone.

M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush – “this full, domed brush has the density to apply foundation evenly and flawlessly. One of our most popular brushes for buffing foundation to an airbrushed finish.

M173 Mini Buffer Brush – “A short, dense buffer brush with a rounded tip that’s perfect for precision work in the corners of the eyes and around the nose. Use it to blend out under eye concealer or place cream contour products for a defined, sculpted look.

Complexion Beauty Sponge –  “Meet your BFF for finding your beat. This bullet-shaped blending sponge is made for streak-free application, concealing imperfections, and just looking flawless (like you do).

The flat base seamlessly blends long-wear formulas like Fluidity Full Coverage Foundation, while the precision point fits into hard-to-reach areas around the nose and eyes. Now get out there and slay, Morphe Babe.

The Morphe Fluidity Foundation is available in a jaw dropping 60 shades which is incredible, but it has a downside as it’s hard to guess which shade you’d be when there’s so much choice which is why this sample card was such a great idea. The cards were available in the five levels – Light, Medium, Tan, Rich and Deep, and I obviously opted for the lightest card with twelve shades of the palest Fluidity foundation shades.

I swatched all twelve for you incase you’re trying to decide which shade you need, but I’m impressed with the range of undertones they’ve included. My shade is the palest; F1.10 (fairest with neutral undertones) and I had to include swatches of it unblended and blended to show you how insane the coverage is. I do feel like the shades could go paler as I have to mix a little white foundation mixer with F1.10 as it oxidises on the skin which you can see in the swatches – look how much darker it becomes once it’s blended and had time on the skin?!

What surprised me the most with these samples was how longlasting they were on the skin. When it came to removing them with makeup remover, it was so hard to remove so if you’re after a longlasting foundation, Morphe have you covered.

I’d love to know if you’ve snapped up the Morphe Fluidity Concealer, Foundation or Brush and Sponge Trio yet?
