Ole Henriksen used to be available in the UK until 18 months ago, and I was gutted when the news broke that they were leaving the UK market. Ole Henriksen has always been a really hyped up skincare brand within the beauty community, and I’ve enjoyed every product I’ve ever tried; Ole Henriksen Truth Water, Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Creme, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation.
It was announced back in January that the brand was returning to UK soil and was going into Boots, and before their re-launch, they apparently had a 10,000 strong waiting list which is insane. The Danish skincare brand is officially back and all of their products have had a revamp since they were last here and I’m looking forward to getting to know the brand all over again. The brand’s products are divided into colour coded ‘collections’ to help you decide which products you need for specific skin types and skin concerns;
- Truth – C brighter, firmer skin with vitamin C favorites.
- Transform – Smooth away the rough days through exfoliation.
- Balance – Reduce oil & refine pores without stripping skin.
- Nuture – Intensely hydrate & comfort dry & sensitive skin.
- Transform Plus – Fight all major signs of aging, with natural super ingredients.
The products all sound amazing, and I love their new super sleek branding and there’s a fair few products I’d love to try so I wanted to share the top three products on my wishlist right now although I’m very tempted by their sets as they’re a fab way to try multiple products in one go. Two products on my wishlist are from the same Truth range, and one of them is from the Transform range.
First up is a product I’ve seen feature in a lot of YouTube videos and is the Banana Bright Face Primer £28 and claims to “Instantly brightens, improves and extends makeup wear, blurs imperfections, hydrates“. It’s marketed as being a skincare and makeup product in one, and is inspired by banana powder; a makeup artist favourite, so the primer contains brightening pigments to bring radiance to the entire complexion.
Next is the Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner £22, and is described as being a potent brightening toner, supercharged with a high concentration of AHAs (glycolic and lactic acids) and witch hazel water, reduces the look of dark spots in as little as 7 days – impressive, huh?!
“But this powerhouse AHA toner has a soft side, too. Infused with sandalwood, chamomile and licorice extracts, it’s gentle enough for daily use. Tone post-cleansing for a skin-smoothing boost, and you’ll be perfectly prepped for serum and moisturizer. Plus, with its addictive lemon sugar scent and “it’s working!” tingle, you’ll be hooked from the very first swipe.” Acne scarring is one of my biggest annoyances with my skin as the scarring lingers for such a long time once the blemish has gone, so this toner sounds ideal.
Lastly it’s the Banana Bright Eye Creme £30 which is another product I’ve seen a lot of coverage for, and I’d love to try it alongside the primer. Claiming to brighten and instantly target fine lines and wrinkles, delivering age-defying results.
“Collagen-boosted, it firms and deeply hydrates even as it feels deliciously lightweight making this your go to vitamin c eye cream that promises to help revive and illuminate the entire eye area over time.” I don’t currently have an eye cream I love, so I think this would be a good option to try especially as it recently won a Women’s Health Magazine award too.
Have you ever tried Ole Henriksen products before? Do you fancy trying any of these three products?
