The Too Faced Hangover Primer is one of my all time favourite primers, so when they announced they were launching a setting spray to go alongside the primer, I couldn’t wait to give it a go. I love how hydrating the primer is thanks to the coconut water, and so many setting sprays are laden with alcohol which really isn’t great for the skin so the fact that the Too Faced 3 in 1 Setting Spray is alcohol free was a massive selling point for me and I chose it as part of my Cult Beauty ‘ultimate makeup bag‘ edit. The setting spray is £27 and it contains 120ml which is a little more than most setting sprays which tend to be around 80ml to 100ml and I liked that it claimed to be a 3 in 1.
Too Faced say;
A weightless 3-in-1 coconut water-infused mist that primes, sets and refreshes makeup while keeping skin hydrated.
- Hydrates and brightens skin
- Perfect for all-day use and mid-day refresher
- Soothes and smooths skin
- Can be used as a primer, setting spray, and refresher
- 100%* said makeup went on smoother, looked flawless, didn’t transfer, and felt hydrated
Too Faced Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Jerrod Blandino was inspired by original Hangover, our revolutionary coconut-water infused makeup primer. He wanted to create a formula with the same priming and hydrating benefits you love in a multitasking mist that can also be used after makeup to set it in place or anytime to refresh skin. Spray all day to keep the beauty hangover away!
The Too Faced Hangover 3 in 1 Setting Spray has the same divine coconut scent as the primer, and it feels more like a skincare facial mist rather than a makeup setting spray which is definitely something I like. The atomiser mists an even amount over the skin without making you soaked and as there’s no alcohol, silicones or oil, it doesn’t make my skin sting like the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray does.
I’ve tried it as a priming spray, as a setting spray to set my makeup and as a makeup refresher and it does a really great job at all three. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and it doesn’t feel like you’re spritzing hairspray all over your face, like a lot of makeup setting sprays do.
I really like to apply my foundation with a Beauty Blender and I really enjoy misting my sponge before applying my foundation, and the Too faced Hangover 3 in 1 Setting Spray gives a beautiful, dewy finish to the skin and it helps to prolong the longevity of my makeup especially when you use it as a setting spray over your finished makeup. It’s my favourite higher end setting spray I’ve tried and it has a rating of 4.3/5 from 1093 reviews on the Sephora website, so I’m definitely not the only one that loves this 3 in 1 setting spray.
