I Heart Revolution Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lip Gloss

I Heart Revolution Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lip Gloss Review and Swatches

The I Heart Revolution sister brand of Revolution are all about the gimmicks. I’ve tried many I Heart Revolution products over the years and in my experience, the only decent product line they have is their range of chocolate bar palettes which can be quite inconsistent from palette to palette, but as a whole they’re usually pretty good.

I’ve tried the I Heart Revolution liners, lipsticks, mini palettes and highlighters, and they’re all OK rather than great although I’m gutted they changed the formula of their Goddess of Love Highlighters as they used to be amazing a few years ago.

When I saw that I Heart Revolution had launched some lip glosses I wasn’t sure I wanted to try one, but I love lip gloss and I love nude lip colours so for £3 I decided to buy the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lip Gloss.

I wanted to see how it compared to the I Heart Revolution Mermaid which was horrible, flaky and a massive fail, and although I liked the gloss formula inside their Gloss Lip Kit, they haven’t really nailed the lip gloss formula.

I Heart Revolution Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lip Gloss Review and Swatches

I Heart Revolution launched a total of eight nude coloured, food named lip glosses for just £3 each. The range is really great with a nude shade for all skintones, but I decided on the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lip Gloss as it looked like the palest shade from the swatches I saw online.

The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough shade is a light, pinky toned nude which is my ideal kind of nude shade.

The first swatch is one swipe of the doefoot applicator, and the second is multiple swipes which hopefully shows how translucent it is in one swipe, but a couple of extra swipes does improve the opacity but it’s very much a sheer gloss formula which is perfect for everyday.

The gloss has a delicious chocolatey scent, and it only lasts for around an hour on the lips but it’s a really lovely gloss, and whilst I wouldn’t repurchase it, it’s not bad for the price and it is the best gloss formula Revolution have made so far.
