I am so excited about the Look Incredible May Deluxe Beauty Box 2019 edit as this month is the very first month Look Incredible are having a ‘brand of the month’ theme. The Look Incredible boxes are always amazing anyway, but each month they’ll choose a different brand to feature in a spotlight.
This theme is only within the Deluxe box for May, but I’m told it will roll out to the Standard and My Secret Box going forward. So which brand was chosen as the ‘brand of the month’ for the Look Incredible May Deluxe Beauty Box 2019 edit? Only Charlotte Tilbury… and the product they included costs MORE than the £35 fee of the box. It blows my mind how good these boxes are – you check previous boxes here.
I was obviously going to start with the Charlotte Tilbury product, and it’s a very good one. Look Incredible didn’t include an unpopular product from the brand. No, they included the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow worth £38.50 which is one of their award-winning bestsellers, and full size just like every other product Look Incredible include each month.
I can’t believe they included Wonder Glow this month, as it’s such an iconic product. It’s essentially a makeup primer which you can wear alone to perfect the skin, or wear under your foundation for a gorgeous glow. It really is a beautiful dewy primer which works for any skintone as it’s not tinted like their Flawless Filter. It imparts the prettiest, natural glow and makes the skin look so healthy and radiant.
Next up in the box we have enough product which retails for close to the box price, and that’s the Ciaté Astrolights Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Burnt’ worth £29. I adore the Ciaté blushes, but I’ve never tried one of their palettes before. It’s visually one of the prettiest palettes I’ve ever seen in terms of packaging, and the shadows inside too. I am trying something new, to include videos in some of my blog posts to show shades, finishes and swatches a little better so this is my very first video upload. It’ll take some time to get them exactly how I want them, but here is my first attempt..
Just look at the packaging?! I hope this video shows you how beautiful it is, and the duochrome shift of the central shadow. It has sparkly stars and a holographic effect lid which complements the name of the palette really well. Inside the palette there are nine large shadows in both matte and shimmer formulas, and Temptalia gave the palette an A- which just highlights how amazing this palette is. The formula is described as being a ‘powder-gel’ and the shades are beautiful. I cannot wait to review this in full, it’s my favourite product from the box by far as I’m an eyeshadow palette addict.
We then have a product from one of my favourite brands, and one I’m always delighted to see feature within the Look Incredible boxes. We have the Too Faced Glitter Pop Peel Off Eyeliner in the shade Fairy Queen worth £16. I already reviewed the shade Lucky Bitch here on my blog, so I’m very happy to another shade to try. Fairy Queen is a very pretty pinky lilac shade which I think will team beautifully with the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette with its purple tones.
The fourth and final product for this month’s box is from IT Cosmetics, and is the IT Cosmetics Your Lips But Better All Day Waterproof Lip Liner Stain worth £17. I had no idea that IT Cosmetics even did lip liners but I’m a fan of the brand, and this is IT Girl, a vibrant deep pink which is perfect for the warmer months.
It’s an automatic pencil that works as a lip liner, a lip primer and a lip stain – all in one, that delivers rich, hydrating colour that’s clinically shown waterproof, even after 8 hours of wear.
Plus it is said to contain anti-aging collagen, silk, peptides and hyaluronic acid to nourish and minimise the look of lip lines. The formula sounds incredible, so I’m looking forward to trying it out and if it delivers on the claims, I’d definitely like to try some of the other shades too.
I would love to know your thoughts on the Look Incredible May Deluxe Beauty Box 2019 edit? Which product is your favourite this month?
