Temple Spa is a brand I’ve seen featured on many blogs, but I’ve only ever tried a couple of their products. I recently featured their Quietude Sleep Mist and Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream, and today I have the Temple Spa In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt & Exfoliating Balm to show you.
When it comes to removing my makeup and cleansing, I like to use a micellar water initially to remove the bulk of my makeup, and then go in with my cleansers of choice. I always try to double cleanse at night time, but on occasions where I don’t have the time or inclination to double cleanse, I love to use a dual action cleanser which is why I was tempted by the Temple Spa In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt £30.
It’s amazing how many awards Temple Spa have won, and this cleanser has won a Beauty Bible award and a Beauty Shortlist award too. Described as being an hand blended facial in a jar, the cleansing melt is a nourishing face balm and cleanser that thoroughly cleanses and gently exfoliates leaving a clean, dewy complexion.
Something I’ve definitely noticed with Temple Spa products is how beautifully packaged all of their products are. Even the boxes are lovely with a slightly rubberised texture, and whilst it’s the product inside that matters, I love it when a brand thinks about the finer details.
This cleansing balm is designed for those with dry, thirsty, dehydrated skin or those suffering from dull skin. The cleanser is packaged within a large, frosted plastic jar with a silver metallic lid, and the box contains a spatula so you can scoop product out without having to put your fingers into the jar. I like that Temple Spa have a video on their website showing the balm being used; I wish more brands did the same.
“A highly concentrated daily cleansing balm that gives a ‘just had a facial’ feeling every time you cleanse your face. Its unique buttery-crystalline texture gently removes make-up and daily impurities whilst moisturising and rejuvenating dull looking skin.
This luxurious emollient balm contains beads that gently exfoliate the skin before completely melting to release a deeply cleansing vitamin rich complex straight into the skin layers, without drying or stripping. Your skin is left clean, fresh, radiant, moisturised and dewy; it will be positively glowing with health and vitality.”
The Temple Spa In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt has quite a thick consistency as you scoop it from the jar and I like to warm it up between my fingers before massaging over my face and neck. You can feel the tiny beads within the balm as you work it into the skin and it feels so lovely to use. When it comes to removal, it’s easy to rinse off with a warm face cloth and it leaves the skin feeling incredible.
Usually after cleansing, my skin’s in dire need of an hydrating facial oil but after using In The Beginning, my skin feels as if I’ve used a facial oil as it’s so nourishing and rich. If you like a good multi-use product, this cleansing balm is ideal as it effectively melts away makeup and impurities from the skin, whilst sloughing away dead skin cells and revealing a brighter, more refined complexion.
It’s easy to see why this balm is a bestseller, and it feels like such a decadent treat for the skin which I love following up with the Repose Cream. If you love the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, I really think you’d love this Temple Spa cleanser, and you can purchase it for £30 on the Temple Spa website, and it contains 75 grams of product.
