The Pixi Rose Skintreats Collection has grown considerably over the last year, as has the rest of the Pixi skincare range. I was lucky enough to receive a selection of their Rose collection and I featured them back on my blog in February. I love Pixi as a brand and have really enjoyed trying their makeup and skincare products over the last few years. One of the products from the Pixi Rose SkinTreats collection that I’ve been trying is the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser £18 and after a few months I’m ready to report back.
•Soothing, gentle cleanser.
•Nourishing cream cleanser with mineral rich mud cleanses skin as it helps strengthen & soften.
•Rose & avocado conditions.
•Chamomile & aloe vera soothes.
•For all skin types, including very sensitive.
•135ml
I feel like I’m in the minority but I don’t like rose as a scent and whenever I admit that, I feel as if I’m being blasphemous as it’s such a popular scent. As far as rose scents go, I really like the mildness of the Pixi Rose range as it’s soft and subtle which is exactly what I want with skincare as my skin’s very sensitive and reactive but this cleanser doesn’t smell like rose. If anything it’s much more aloe vera (which is the first ingredient within the list) so it’s strange that it’s included within the rose range.
The Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser can be used daily by using a coin sized amount, and it has a thin consistency that spreads nicely across the skin. Some cream cleansers can be quite thick, but this is more of a thin lotion. With cleansers I always try them with makeup removal even though this particular cleanser makes no claims on makeup removal, but it’s definitely not a makeup removing kind of cleanser.
It’s very mild and whilst it removed the bulk of my foundation, it barely touched my eye makeup so it’s the kind of cleanser I’d recommend for a morning cleanse when you don’t have anything but last night’s skincare to remove.
I wasn’t wowed by this cleanser unfortunately. So many of Pixi’s skincare products have made my favourites list such as the Rose Ceramide Cream which is one of my favourite skincare discoveries as it works wonders on my skin. This cleanser was quite average in comparison to the cream section within the Pixi Double Cleanse and if anything I found it to be a little too drying for my skin.
If you have dry or dehydrated skin, you might enjoy the Double Cleanse a little more but this is the first Pixi skincare product I didn’t love in about three years which goes to show how much I enjoy the Pixi skincare range.
Have you tried any of the Pixi Rose Skintreats collection?
