SEKSY Embrace Eau de Parfum

Fragrance is one of my favourite beauty products, and I love how a spritz of perfume can alter my mood for the day. When it comes to fragrance, I tend to avoid scents which are heavy florals with notes such as gardenia or jasmine such as Michael Kors White, and Narciso Rodriguez Narciso as they always give me an headache whenever I wear them. I am much more of a fan of woodier, warmer, oriental, gourmand and sweeter fragrances, and thus I’m automatically drawn to scents which fall under these categories. SEKSY are traditionally a watch brand, but their SEKSY Beauty line features three fragrances; the Seksy Embrace Eau de Parfum, the SEKSY Entice Eau de Parfum and the SEKSY Elegance Eau de Parfum.

I was kindly asked if I’d like to try one of the SEKSY scents, and after looking at the notes for all three fragrances, I chose the SEKSY Embrace Eau de Parfum as it’s described as being a feminine gourmand fragrance so I knew it’d be a scent I’d enjoy.

The fragrance is available in three different sizes; 30ml £25, 50ml £50 and 100ml £45, and they can be purchased directly from their website. I also have a non-affiliated discount code should you want to try any of them, where GEMMAETC10 (in capitals) will enable you to save 10% off.

The SEKSY Embrace Eau de Parfum is so beautifully packaged within a black textured box, with rose gold foiled detailing. The box has a small window so you can see the bottle inside, and you can see the Swarovski embellishments on the bottle. On the 30ml bottle, there isn’t a Swarovski charm hanging from the neck, but there is with both of the 50ml and 100ml sizes and I have the 50ml size.

A feminine gourmand fragrance which embraces the senses, Enchanting and seductive – glamorous and effervescent. Fruity top notes of Orange Blossom, Blackcurrant and Pear open into a heart of Iris, Jasmine and Patchouli before settling into a delicious swirl of Tonka Bean Vanilla Musk & Praline Accord.

I honestly had no idea that SEKSY even did fragrances, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from trying their fragrance but I am so surprised by how amazing it is. The scent is so extremely similar to my favourite Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, I’m a little bit mind blown. As they are so similar on the skin, I had to compare notes and they both feature jasmine, patchouli, musk and vanilla.

I even think that this similarity may have been intentional as I sprayed each fragrance on a different wrists and once dried there was absolutely no difference. The only difference was longevity as the SEKSY Embrace Eau de Parfum lasts for around four hours on the skin, whilst Flowerbomb lasts for six+ but a 50ml bottle of SEKSY is £50 and a 50ml bottle of Flowerbomb is £75.

Both bottles also have a similar faceted design, although the SEKSY design is more luxurious thanks to the beautiful Swarovski embellishments. Each of the three fragrances include different shaped charms; Entice has a heart, Embrace features a teardrop and Elegance has a triangle.

The bottle is pretty with a flat design with the faceted effect along the edges, which carries on for the lid too. On the bottle itself there is a brown coloured gem, and the neck of the bottle features a colour co-ordinated ribbon which holds a loop of thread.

All of the promo images of the fragrances show this loop holding the Swarovski charm but mine doesn’t. I believe it can’t have been added in the production process, and it’s impossible to thread the loop through the charm as it’s much too short – I’ve tried so many times, believe me.

It’s a real shame as I feel like the charm is what makes the bottle look so luxurious, and as I can’t attach the charm, it ruins the overall design of the bottle with the hanging thread. I will definitely reuse my charm in some way as it’s so reflective and sparkly.

The lack of charm around the neck isn’t a problem for me, but it would be disappointing if you were purchasing it as a gift. Pendant issues aside, I truly love the fragrance and if you love Flowerbomb as much as I do, you’ll love the SEKSY Embrace Eau de Parfum fragrance.

Have you tried any of the SEKSY scents?
