ELF Matte Blush Duo

I’ve declared my love for matte blushes many times on my blog over the years. I do still use satin and shimmer blushes, but I just prefer the look of a matte blush so I can keep my shimmer to my cheekbones with my highlighter.

When I saw that ELF had launched their ELF Matte Blush Duo, I knew I needed one as I have loved all of the ELF blushes I’ve tried over the years. The ELF Matte Blush Duo £5 is available in two shade duos; Soft & Subtle and Rosy Flush, and I chose Soft & Subtle as I’m all about the peachy tones when it comes to blush.

Enhance your complexion with this Matte Blush Duo. Enjoy a natural and soft look all day with the blendable and customizable pressed formula. Using a cheek brush, blend your chosen or mixed blush shade onto the apples of the cheeks and blend it out and up towards the ear.

The ELF Matte Blush Duo is packaged within a shiny black plastic compact which looks similar to the old style NARS packaging without the rubberised coating. Inside the duo there are two large 4.2 gram pans and a mirror within the lid. The packaging is very basic but that’s very consistent across the whole ELF brand, and although it’s basic it doesn’t look as cheap as perhaps MUA products can do.

The ELF Matte Blush Duo in the shade Soft & Subtle contains a peachy brown shade and a peachy beige shade. I think the name Soft & Subtle suits the duo very well as the shades are very soft and subtle, and perfect for lighter skintones.

I think the peachy brown reminds me very much of Benefit Dallas, and works well as a blush and bronzer hybrid. If you don’t normally like wearing blush, this duo is for you as it’s so soft and natural on the skin.

I know Kathleen Lights featured this blush as one of her favourites, and I can see why as it’s a gorgeous blush duo with such great quality for only £5 and I’ve enjoyed blending them both together for a peachy brown shade which works as a bronzer on my skintone and both shades work amazingly as eyeshadow shades too.

I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of the ELF blushes?
