The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation has been a popular foundation within the beauty community for years, and I featured their original Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix formula back in 2013. The Healthy Mix range has seen a number of incarnations since its original launch but Bourjois haven’t had the most inclusive range when it comes to their foundations and concealers.
However, Bourjois have definitely listened to customer feedback as their Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation is now available in a much more extensive shade range with fifteen shades, which I know isn’t as inclusive as Maybelline or Revolution, but they’re definitely moving in the right direction as they used to have around five shades when the Healthy Mix foundation originally launched. I ordered the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in the lightest shade which is Rose Ivory 50 £9.99 and crossed my fingers it’d match me.

When I tried the original version of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I had the lightest shade which was then 51 Light Vanilla but it was horribly orange and needed more lightening drops to foundation ratio wise to make it work for me. The Rose Ivory 50 shade however works really well for me and I feel like because the formula is more radiant with a medium coverage, you don’t necessarily need to have a spot on match as it’s a little more forgiving. I really like how sleek the bottle is, and the pump dispenses the perfect amount for a full face in just one pump and it has a strong fruity scent which is the case for the whole Healthy Mix collection, but I really like the scent although I know it won’t be for everyone.
If you have dry skin I really think you’ll like this foundation as it’s lightweight, dewy and beautiful. It never emphasises my dry patches and it always leaves my skin looking ‘healthy’ like the name suggests. It’s a bestselling drugstore foundation and I totally understand the hype as it never feels heavy on the skin but it still offers a decent amount of coverage.
This has become my go-to everyday foundation when I want my skin to look nice, and I don’t need lots of coverage but it can be built up for an even dewier, fuller coverage too. My favourite way to apply it is with a dampened BeautyBlender, and then set with the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist, and it lasts well throughout the day and for me it ticks all the boxes.
