Decléor is a brand I’ve seen featured on many beauty blogs, but I’ve only ever tried a couple of their products until now. Decléor are a luxurious skincare brand with products enriched with essential oils. The brand uses as many natural ingredients as possible, and aim to use at least 95% natural origin ingredients within their products. The Decléor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream £58 is one of their newest launches and I’ve had the pleasure of trying it for the last eight weeks.

The Decléor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream launched back in May and couldn’t be a more perfect launch for the summer. When I first got the products, I have to admit, I didn’t really know what it was designed to do or how it can be applied as the outer box only has brief information. After looking on the Decléor website, and reading the directions I soon learnt the best application method.
The packaging is just beautiful, with an amber coloured weighty glass jar. I really like the design of the packaging as it has almost a clinical feel with the white ‘label’ across the jar. Inside the jar there’s a secondary lid which helps to contain the product which is particularly helpful considering how dark in colour the cream is, and the lid prevents any unwanted spillages.
If you were travelling with this product, I’d recommend decanting some of it into a smaller toiletry jar within a travel set (you can find them super cheap on eBay) as it is quite heavy, and you wouldn’t want to lose/damage the jar during travel.
The very first time I unscrewed the lid on the Decléor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream, I was taken aback by how dark the cream was. As I mentioned above, I couldn’t really tell what the cream was designed for by just reading the outer box, other than imparting a gorgeous glow.
So the bronze hue really did surprise me, especially as I’m naturally very pale. I know the tint within the jar may put pale skinned people off trying it, but I had to include a before and after shot as it’s extremely versatile. If it works for my very pale skin, it’ll work for absolutely everyone.
The Decléor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream has the most beautiful consistency in that it feels like liquid silk as you lightly smooth it over the skin. It’s lovely and lightweight which is ideal for the warmer weather as the last thing I want in the heat, is rich yet suffocating layers of skincare products. The cream has a divine aromatherapy-esque scent like the rest of the Decléor range but the scent doesn’t linger so it’s great for sensitive skin like mine.
The cream has a terracotta hue which melts into the skin wonderfully with very little effort needed. On first try I was a little apprehensive about smothering my face in it incase I ended up looking like a Dorito but as you can see from my swatch above, whilst it does impart a sunkissed tint to the skin, it’s extremely natural and my skin genuinely looks as if I’ve caught the sun. It leaves the skin looking as if you’ve naturally caught the sun over the summer with a genuine tan, rather than looking artificial like fake tan.
I particularly like that you can control how much of a tint you want. By applying a twenty pence sized amount, you have the subtlest of colour but applying more will just intensify the warmth whilst remaining very natural regardless of how much you apply. I can’t recall ever using a moisturiser that hydrates, softens, adds a glow and a tint all in one. It’s almost as if it’s a grown-up, version of a tinted moisturiser.
I purposely stopped massaging product up to my wrist as I really wanted you to be able to see the colour difference, but on the face, I apply a very small amount and ensure I include my neck too and it just looks so very natural. It feels so comfortable on the skin, and I’m really happy that my swatch photo shows the gorgeous glow towards my knuckles – it looks beautiful on the skin. You could have had a week of sleepless nights, and this Decléor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream would somehow manage to remedy that with the healthy tint and glow.
