Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum Review

I’ve been a fan of Lancôme fragrances ever since I fell in love with Miracle when I was 18. I remember it was the first fragrance I bought with my first full time wage on pay day, and I did a Lancôme splurge at the counter with multiple Juicy Tubes lipglosses, the Hypnôse mascara, a compact foundation and Bi-Facil makeup remover. Ever since I discovered Miracle, I’ve tried quite a few of their fragrances and I’m yet to find a Lancôme fragrance I didn’t love so I’m always excited whenever they launch a new scent. The Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum campaign is fronted by Zendaya, and is available in a 25ml version, a 50ml version and a 75ml version.

Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum Review

The Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum is packaged within such an unique bottle design. It’s very tall, and extremely slim and was designed by renowned architect and industrial designer Chafik Gasmi, and is one of the slimmest in the world to date at just 15mm thick. Described as being a ceaselessly timeless creation that is refillable and crafted so that it won’t be necessary to dispose of or replace.

Idôle emerged from the combination of three incredible female talents and one love for fragrance. With this new addition, Lancôme is moving into new territory. Basing its departure on a clean accord that will break with tradition, while re-inventing an accord that has always been close to its heart; the rose.

Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum Review

The bottle really is very slim and looks so chic. The lid has almost a T-bar design, and my lid did arrive snapped so I had to do a little DIY and glue it together again, so if it doesn’t look perfect, that’s why but it was very simple to fix. The shape of the bottle is so unique, and I like that the fragrance is a pale pink colour which complements the rose gold metal detailing against the edges of the bottle. It’s such a feminine and pretty bottle design and the promotional photos of Zendaya are equally beautiful. Onto the notes…

Top – bergamot essence.

Heart – rose essence, rose absolute and rose water, jasmine infusion and jasmine absolute.

Base – patchouli heart essence, cedar essence and vanilla extract.

Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum Review

The Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum is such a stunning fragrance and I think it might be my favourite Lancôme fragrance as I love it so much. I feel like it’s a mixture of Stella McCartney Stella and Giorgio Armani Si, so if you love both of those scents, you’ll love this new launch. Rose isn’t one of my favourite notes, but it is blended so beautifully with jasmine that it becomes more musky and fruity.

It lasts on the skin too with at least six hours of weartime before noticeable fading, and it’s a scent that I’ve had quite a few compliments on too. I feel like this would be a great wedding scent, especially with the bottle design and the empowering message behind the fragrance plus the longevity too. If you found La Vie Est Belle to be too sweet, I really think you’ll love Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum and I cannot recommend trying it enough if the notes sound like your kind of fragrance.

You can purchase the Lancôme Idôle fragrance from the Lancôme website.
