Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar

Revolution have officially opened their Christmas gift shop on both their website, and on Superdrug. It still feels so weird talking about Christmas in September, but it feels as if the hype gets earlier and earlier every year. I noticed that Revolution have a number of beauty advent calendar options this year, and today I’m going to be going into a little more detail about their biggest offering; the Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar which is a Superdrug exclusive and contains 25 full size products. However for me this calendar is very disappointing…

Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar

The Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar is a whopping £120 this year – I know, it’s a crazy high price for a drugstore brand. However Revolution have really increased their prices this year, with some pretty steep price hikes. I would never purchase any of the Revolution gift sets and calendars at these full prices because they always, always discount them by either a third to half off from the middle of October onwards.

£120 is much too much for a drugstore advent calendar in my opinion, but if it was half price and £60 I think it would be a lot more reasonable (without looking at the products inside). Beauty advent calendars are supposed to offer amazing value, and for £120 in all honesty I’d rather stump up the extra and go for high end products in the Cult Beauty calendar.

I’m going to list the contents now, so please don’t keep reading if you don’t want to know what’s inside the Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar.

Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar 1

The Revolution Christmas Tree Advent Calendar has the same design as last years tree except the colours have changed slightly. Last year it was bronze, silver and gold and this year it’s black, gold and burgundy. It’s massive, with 25 individual boxes. I prefer advent calendars to have drawers or doors rather than boxes, as I’m more of a traditionalist but I’m sure I’m probably in the minority.

Start the countdown to Christmas in serious style. The Revolution Christmas Tree is here to upgrade the usual chocolate advent to beauty goodies. There’s a surprise inside every box, and there’s one for every day throughout December.

That’s 25 new beauty products in one month! With full-size face, lip, eyes and accessories – Christmas will basically come early. Get the calendar-of-dreams exclusively at Superdrug
