Guudcure Pollution Free Open Air Cream SPF15

Over the last few weeks I’ve had the pleasure of introducing Guudcure as a brand with a Guuducre Brand Overview initially, and then a review of the Guudcure Pollution Free Purifying Micellar Water. Today I have another product to show you from their highly effective Pollution Free range, and it’s the turn of the Guudcure Pollution Free Open Air Cream SPF15. If you’re new to the Guudcure brand and haven’t ready my past two posts, their skincare is produced by an Italian company with an internal laboratory, where they combine healthy ageing and clean beauty philosophies in developing their luxurious skincare products.

Guudcure appealed to me as a brand as they have a slightly different approach to skincare. Whilst most brands concentrate on correcting and repairing visible damage to both the face and body, whereas Guuducre focus on preventing skin ageing and protecting the skin in order to maintain its natural health – a more healthy skincare approach. Everyday impurities can build up upon the surface of the skin, and can alter the quality of the skin on face, neck and lower neckline – basically the exposed areas of the skin. These everyday impurities include pollutants which are damaging and weakening to the skin, as well as increasing its sensitivity.

Worrying about pollution damage might sound like something that you only need to worry about if you live within a large, bustling city but it really isn’t as pollution is in the air around us. There’s such a big focus on the damaging rays of the sun, but more and more brands are starting to include ingredients to protect against pollutants but Guudcure have a whole product range dedicated to protecting the skin from harmful pollutants.

The Ozone and fine particles, such as microscopic PM2.5, stick to the skin, become lodged in the pores and damage the cutaneous barrier resulting in the skin becoming oxidised, and your complexion becoming duller. Gentle deep cleansing on a daily basis is necessary to preserve not just the skin but also the cutaneous barrier that protects the epidermis from external attacks.

This is where Guudcure step in with their heterogeneous Pollution Free collection which consists of ten different products for the face and body, utilising Zeolite. The range offers antioxidant action, a reduction in the formation of free radicals and wrinkles as well as hydrating the skin. Plus the use of the products returns elasticity and compactness to the skin, re-activating its metabolism and making it brighter too.

The cream needs to be applied cleansed dry skin, underneath makeup offering deep moisturisation and protection against pollution and sun.

The Guudcure Pollution Free Open Air Cream SPF15 has a lightweight lotion consistency which feels like liquid silk as you massage it into the skin. So many lotions that contain SPF feel chalky or greasy on the skin, which is less than ideal when you want to apply makeup over the top but the Open Air Cream has the perfect consistency. I really love how it imparts moisture, whilst also offering protection and comfort.

As this cream almost works as a barrier protecting against pollution and UV rays, I expected it to feel quite thick and heavy on the skin but it absolutely isn’t. It is such a lovely day cream and I love that it works well as a makeup primer too on the days I want more minimal makeup. It’s such a welcome addition to my makeup routine, and works so well alongside the Guudcure Pollution Free Face Urban Shield which I’ll be featuring very soon.
