Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – New Paler Shade 03 Porcelain!

I did a blog post comparing the two newest lighter shades for the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in March last year and that post is my most read post to date. Finding pale concealers and concealers is a nightmare as they’re generally too dark and too orange, so I was delighted that both Maybelline and Collection had introduced paler shades for their bestselling concealers.

This post is going to serve as more of a public service announcement than anything else, and that’s because Maybelline have launched an even paler shade of the Fit Me Concealer £5.99 in the shade 03 Porcelain.

Weirdly enough, the new paler shade isn’t even listed on the Maybelline website as being one of the new shades. They have introduced six new shades, and this is one of them but I only spotted it by chance by looking on the Superdrug new in section.

It hasn’t been promoted anywhere which is madness as so many people have been waiting for a lighter shade. Their original lightest shade was 10, but they introduced 05 last Spring which I was really happy with but it wasn’t a 100% perfect match.

That was until this new 03 Porcelain shade arrived, and that is the most perfect match for my skintone and I just had to share it on my blog incase you’re too looking for a decently super pale concealer within the drugstore.

Maybelline don’t do shade descriptions for the concealer shades like Revolution do, but Porcelain is a very pale shade with a neutral undertone. I can use it straight from the tube and apply it without worrying about using lightening drops, and I don’t even need to worry about blending half way down my torso to try and get a natural blend.

Now this shade is so perfect, it’s a concealer I’ve been using almost daily as I love the coverage and how natural it looks on the skin. My favourite thing about this concealer is how it doesn’t emphasise dry patches like many concealers do, so it’s my go-to for covering blemishes without leaving my skin looking flaky and even more dry.
