Music Flower Jewelight Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Eyeshadow Pen

Today I have another post in my AliExpress series, and this time it’s a product from Music Flower. I’ve heard of Music Flower before, but I’ve never tried any of their products until now. I ordered the Music Flower Jewelight Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Eyeshadow Pen from this AliExpress store, for just £1.52 with free UK shipping and it took around three weeks to arrive.

The Music Flower Jewelight Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Eyeshadow Pen is quite an unique concept in that it’s a double ended pen that features a liquid eyeliner pen on one side, and an eyeshadow cream on the other. I’ve never seen a liner, liquid eyeshadow combination before but because I love both liner and liquid shadow, I knew it was something I had to try.

There are eight different shades to choose from and I decided upon shade No 7 although the shades are a little strange. Each of the eight shades contain either a black liquid liner or a brown liquid liner, and only the liquid shadow shade differs from shade number to shade number. So if you purchase more than one shade, you’ll end up with a liner shade overlap.

I know brown and black are the most popular eyeliner shades, but it would have been nice to have more variety otherwise it feels pointless to have more than one black liner, and one brown liner.

Shades No 1 to No 5 are all Black eyeliner shades, and shades No 6 to No 8 are all Brown eyeliner shades. The shade that I bought; No 7 consists of a brown eyeliner and ‘brass gold’ liquid eyeshadow.

Here are the swatches of the Music Flower Jewelight in shade No 7. The eyeliner has a felt tip nib that can be used for both thick and thin lines, and dries down to a shiny finish. I have to admit I’m not a fan of shiny eyeliner so I do wish it was matte as I feel like matte liner blends better into the lashline, but you could always go over the top with a matching eyeshadow shade to reduce the shine. It’s a really pigmented, dark brown liner which doesn’t smudge or flake once on the eyes. The eyeliner is what impressed me the most from this duo which I wasn’t expecting.

I can’t get enough of liquid glitter eyeshadows right now which you probably already know if you read my blog regularly. Some of the best liquid glitters I’ve found that have been AliExpress discoveries. The Heng Fang and QIBEST versions are my favourites, so the Music Flower Jewelight had quite a lot to live up to. The No 7 shade has a warm copper shade liquid glitter with the top of the two swatches being one stroke of the doefoot, and the second is multiple strokes.

The base is quite sheer so you have to apply a light layer, allow it to dry and then apply another for full opacity but it’s fine if you want it to work as an eyeshadow topper but it does have a little fall out. The glitter is pretty but it hasn’t wowed me like the Heng Fang ones did, which are £1.50 Stila Glitter and Glow dupes. I wouldn’t buy any other shades of the Music Flower Jewelight but if you haven’t got any other liquid glitters, I don’t think it’s a bad formula for £1.52 but it’s not my favourite.

You can purchase the Jewelight Eyeliner and Eyeshadow Cream Pens from AliExpress.
