I have another AliExpress product to show you today, and one I can’t believe is only £3.06 as the quality rivals higher end blush formulas. From what I can gather, Novo are an AliExpress exclusive brand with original products that aren’t trying to dupe others. AliExpress can be somewhat of a minefield as there are many brands that are trying to rip of higher end brands with fakes, and buying fake makeup is never recommended as you just don’t know what they’re putting into the products. Instead I prefer to stick to brands with original products, packaging and shades and Novo is one of those brands. I’ve bought a few products from Novo and have been really impressed, so I decided to order the Novo Silky Rouge Ombré Blush as I love an ombréd blusher.
The Novo Silky Rouge Ombré Blush is £3.06 and I purchased mine from the ART Beauty Store, with free UK shipping. The delivery took around three weeks but it arrived well packaged with no damage. I always like to include the name of the store I purchased from as there are so, so many stores on AliExpress, you just don’t know which stores are decent.
However I have purchased quite a few products from this store and have had absolutely no issues at all. The blush is available in four different shades; 01 Peach Spring, 02 Colourful Sunshine, 03 Dry Rose of Gobi and 04 Peach Spring (not entirely sure why two shades have this name but that’s the charm of AliExpress). I chose the shade 03 but I loved the look of all four shades and would wear them all.
The packaging reminds me of the Tarte Amazonian Blushes with the same compact design, with a mirror within the lid. I love the water marbled design on the box too, and it looks like it could be an highend brand and not a £3 blush.
There aren’t any drugstore brands that are making blushes as high quality as this, both inside and out. There’s even an expiry date on the packaging with 2024 which is the best expiry date I’ve seen on a powder product.
The Novo Silky Rouge Ombré Blush in shade 03 Peach Spring has the prettiest ombréd design with a pastel peach at the top that gradually fades into a peachy pink, and then a darker pink.
I really like ombréd designs as you can create a custom colour depending on what you’re looking for. The pan is a decent size, so providing I use a more compact blush, I can concentrate the brush in the lighter half of the pan, or the darker side.
I’ve included swatches of each side separately, and then together and as you can see all three colours are really pretty. In the pan the powder does look a little shimmery, but on the skin it has a lovely satin finish which looks so natural.
The blush is nicely pigmented and it lasts well throughout the day, and I just can’t believe it’s only £3. I have ordered the other three shades as I loved this one so much, so I really hope the other shades are as comparable in quality as this one.
You can purchase this blusher over on AliExpress.
