Rodial have jumped on the beauty advent calendar bandwagon this year with the Rodial 12 Days of Red Carpet Advent Calendar 2019. The calendar is available from Harrods for £98, although I can’t find anywhere that states how much the contents are worth collectively. Rodial are a pricey brand so an advent calendar like this would be a good way to be able to try multiple Rodial products without the commitment of a full sized product, and you can try the different products to see what you do and don’t like. Priced at £98 for a twelve day calendar is up there in price, but is it worth it?
“Count down the days to Christmas with Rodial’s 12 Days of Red Carpet advent calendar. Housed in a luxurious gold-tone box with a personal message from the label’s founder, Maria Hatzistefanis, this round-up of miniatures will ensure your skin is looking refreshed and radiant in time for the big day. Our favourites include the Dragon’s Blood Lip Mask – mistletoe encounters call for a smooth pout, after all– and the Pink Diamond Magic Day Gel which is enriched with 24-karat gold.”
The design of this calendar really is beautiful, especially as it’s cardboard. The calendar has a metallic rose gold foil finish, with twelve numbered perforated doors. The front of the calendar has a really pretty illustration of a woman in a black cocktail dress, and there’s some pretty rose gold foil accents too. Some cardboard calendars can look a little cheap (like the Next one for example) but I think Rodial have done a nice job on this calendar, and it’s recyclable which is definitely a bonus. I have a full contents reveal if you’d like to see which products are inside the calendar….

This calendar contains mainly all samples which might be disappointing considering the price, but Rodial products really are pricey and I’m sure the products are worth more than the price but I can’t currently find confirmation of that. If you do like the look of this calendar, you can purchase it on the Harrods website.
