TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray

With beauty blogging, there’s such an emphasis on the ‘new’ that products which have been around for years can often be forgotten about. I feel like this year I’ve made a conscious effort not to buy new launches as soon as they drop as more often than not, I’m left disappointed. I have been reading reviews prior to purchasing most things and have tried to appreciate the products in my collection that have been repurchased many times. One of which products is the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray.

TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray

I love TIGI as a brand and have done since I was a teenager. For my 21st birthday I had my hair cut, coloured and curled in a salon before my night out. I mentioned to my hairdresser about worrying about the curls falling out and she said I didn’t need to worry as she was going to use the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray. I had never even heard of the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray at that point and usually used Pantene or VO5 hairspray in an attempt to hold my style.

My hair is very fine, very long and I have masses of it. It can take upto half an hour to dry with a standard hairdryer just to give you an idea of how much hair I have. Because of how long and thick my hair is, I usually had to use a tonne of hairspray to achieve any hold and I hated how crispy and dull they left my hair.

The TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray is the best hairspray I’ve ever tried from any brand. This is the full size bottle which contains 340ml and has an RRP of £16.25. The full price does sound pricey but I’ve never paid the full price as TIGI is always heavily discounted by the likes of Just My Look, Feelunique and Fragrance Direct. I got my newest bottle from Just My Look for £6.95 (57% off) with free delivery too which is amazing value. I must have repurchased this hairspray over ten times over the years and never have I dedicated a blog post to it – until now.

I use hairspray every day and one of these huge bottles lasts me for months and months as you don’t need to apply copious amounts in order to achieve the best amount of hold. I love putting my hair in a messy bun, but my hair can look super frizzy and awful thanks to my masses of baby hairs that like to spring into action as soon as there’s any moisture in the air. After making my bun, I just mist the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray lightly over my hair, and it keeps my baby hairs smoothed down all day long which is miraculous for hair as frizzy as mine.

Not only does it offer incredible hold all day long, it leaves the hair extremely shiny. Does anyone remember those awful ‘hair shine sprays’ which made your hair look greasy as they were overloaded with oil?  Well this hairspray leaves my dark brunette hair with a mirror like shine without looking like product in the hair, and it’s lightweight enough that it can be brushed out effortlessly.

There’s no oily residue, and it smells insane with a Skittles scent that I love. Some hairsprays can have really cloying scents, but the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray smells nothing like any other hairspray.

It’s the best hairspray I’ve ever tried and I can not recommend it enough. It is one of two products that are my most repurchased haircare products alongside the Lee Stafford Poker Straight Heat Protection Spray. I’ll continue to repurchase them both forever providing they never discontinue them as they’re definitely holy grail haircare collection staples that I’d recommend to absolutely everybody.
