I’ve had an obsession with gemstones ever since I was little. I don’t know if it’s because of my name, but I’ve always loved anything to do with gems and crystals. Gemstones are known to have healing properties, and they have been used for centuries to fix ailments and to increase inner peace and prosperity. I was recently introduced to the BeWater Gemstone Water Bottles, and I couldn’t wait to try one for myself from their website, and I chose the BeWater Bemagic Amethyst and Rock Crystal Gemstone Water Bottle. Let’s get onto the science behind their bottles…
Who are BeMagic?
“Your body needs water to survive and thrive! At bewater we are all about the health benefits of staying hydrated. Drinking the right amount of water is essential for good health. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work properly.
Good hydration boosts your energy and immunity, strengthens your skin and hair, flushes toxins from your body and keeps your joints moving smoothly. Few of us really understand the extent to which we can improve our health and wellbeing with water. It’s time to fall in love with water!
Love The Earth
Every throwaway plastic bottle takes hundreds of years to decompose; this creates a huge global environmental crisis. Landfills, oceans and landscapes around the world are choked with single use plastic bottles. The annual production of these bottles also uses a vast amount of energy, adding to the problem of global warming. Do your part for our gorgeous planet today by using a responsibly produced re-usable bottle!
Choose Your Path
At bewater we believe in intentions. We want you to choose to belove, bepowerful, bejoyful and bemagical. Each of our four ranges has been designed using gemstones inspired by these qualities.
Placing gemstones in or around water is a practice that has its roots stretching back thousands of years. There are theories that suggest that this changes the structure and taste of the water. This tradition continues today in holistic health circles.
In a nutshell, BeWater offer a range of different water bottles which all contain gemstones inside so the gemstones transfer the benefits to the water, and they offer different gemstone cores for different benefits. There are four different ranges to choose from; BeJoy, BeLove, BeMagic and BePower.
BeWater also offer their bottles in different versions too. There’s a Zodiac range, the Original range, Home & Office Glass, and finally On the Go. Their bottles are also fully reusable providing an ethical alternative to the 7 billion plastic water bottles we dispose of yearly in the UK.
I chose a bottle from the BeWater BeMagic collection, as part of the Original range. You can also find the BeWater BeMagic collection in a glass bottle too, but the prices do vary. The BeWater BeMagic Original which is what I have, is £25.95 and the BeWater BeMagic Glass is £28.95.
From the many bottles on offer, I chose the BeWater Bemagic Amethyst and Rock Crystal Gemstone Water Bottle for a couple of reasons. I wanted the plastic version as I felt like plastic is a little more practical than glass, but I would definitely be tempted by one of their glass bottles too as they have a slightly different design to the plastic ones and look equally pretty.
This bottle is part of the brand’s Tritan range, which means they have a fixed gem chamber that cannot be removed and is not interchangeable whilst some of their bottles are. The bottle is 24.5cm in height, and can hold approximately 650ml of water. The lid of the bottle is a screw top, and is made with BPA/BPS free Tritan plastic.
AMETHYST AND ROCK CRYSTAL
“Rock Crystal is an amazing all-round hydrator and is known for amplifying the action of other gemstones. This makes the Amethyst the star of this show. Striking in its deep purple colour, Amethyst is associated with awareness, a sense of justice and inner peace.
It has a strong and still energy and on a physical level it is said to protect the brain, nerves and skin. People say that it can ease pain, swelling and bruising and relaxes tension. This makes Clarity water a powerhouse gem water!“
Amethyst is my favourite gemstone for multiple reasons, and purple is my favourite colour which is why I was drawn to this particular bottle. I really liked that the combination of amethyst and rock crystal are said to protect the brain, nerves and skin and that it can ease pain, swelling, bruising and relax tension – which are all things I could definitely do with having help with.
Healing properities aside, the bottle looks amazing when filled with water as it really emphasises the purple colour of the amethyst stones. It’s so cool that every single bottle looks different as the stones are so different, and it’s the kind of bottle that gets questions everytime I use it.
I can’t comment on whether the amethyst and rock crystal are having a positive impact on my health, but I really do believe in the power of gemstones so I like that no only am I keeping myself hydrated with my BeWater BeMagic bottle, I’m also potentially helping my brain, nerves and skin too.
You can find the BeWater Bottles over on their website.
