I fell in love with the Nip and Fab Glycolic Acid Body Cream earlier this year as it works wonders on keratosis pilaris. I haven’t loved everything I’ve tried from their skincare range, but as I enjoyed the body cream so much, I decided to try one of their hand creams. Late last year, Nip and Fab launched a couple of hand creams; the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Hand Renew Hand Cream and the Nip and Fab No Needle Fix Age Relief Hand Cream, but I haven’t heard anything about them so I had no idea if they were any good.
I chose the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Hand Renew Hand Cream as it was half price at Superdrug making it just £3 and I needed a new hand cream anyway. I can’t recall ever using an hand cream containing acids before but it totally makes sense as acids work wonders on the skin on the body and face. I was impressed that this hand cream contained 75ml of product too.
“Say hello to brighter and smoother hands with Glycolic Fix Hand Renew. An effective nighttime treatment using glycolic and salicylic acids to exfoliate and improve your skins texture whilst you sleep. Wake up to brighter more youthful hands!”
Key benefits:
blend of acids: exfoliate + refine
coconut oil: moisturise + nourish
aloe vera: hydrates + soothes
The Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Hand Renew Hand Cream has a subtle citrus scent which you’ll like if you already like the scent of the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix range. The scent lingers on the hands for around an hour and I really like how fresh and clean it smells.
It’s a slightly different hand cream as you can’t just apply it as and when you need some hand cream, as it’s a product you apply at night 2-3 times a week. However sensitive skin means you can only apply once a week, and you can’t apply it to broken or damaged skin. As this hand cream contains acids, it’s important you apply sunscreen whenever you use it to protect the skin from potential sun damage.
It’s a really nice and moisturising cream that lightly hydrates the skin, without feeling greasy and takes around five minutes to sink into the skin. For £3 it’s a good hand cream but I do still have to use other hand creams to keep my skin hydrated but this is a great treatment whenever my hands are in need of a light exfoliation.
