Hojo Brilliance Highlighter – £4 Becca Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector Dupe?!

Today’s post is another in my AliExpress series, where I’m sharing bargain beauty products from proper established brands you can find on both AliExpress and eBay. Whenever I blog about budget brands you can find on AliExpress, I always have to mention that I never recommend purchasing from unknown brands, or brands that are producing counterfeit products as you just don’t know what’s inside the products they’re creating. I stick to real brands and the brand and product I have to show you today is the Hojo Brilliance Highlighter which cost me just £3.85 with free UK delivery.

Hojo and Novo are created by the same people, and their products are super affordable yet with luxurious packaging. I’ve already featured the Novo Ombre Blush already, and it’s one of my favourite blushes so I knew I had to try something from Hojo to see how it compared to Novo. I decided to buy one of the Hojo Brilliance Highlighter shades as the packaging design looked amazingly similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter in terms of packaging, and that’s one of the prettiest highlighters I’ve ever tried.

The Hojo Brilliance Highlighter is £3.85 with free UK shipping, and I bought mine from the MeiQi AliExpress store as I’ve bought a number of products from the store and had really great experiences. The highlighter is available in three different shades; 01 Light Pink, 02 Light Gold and 03 Light White. The 02 Light Gold shade looks like it might be a spot on shade for the Amrezy Highlighter, but I chose shade 03 as it’s the palest and I figured it would be the better match for my skintone.

For a £4 highlighter, the packaging is beautiful. It has a rose gold and black, slightly domed compact with a mirror in the lid. The powder pan has a pretty rippled effect, just like the Amrezy Highlighter, and it contains a generous 10 grams of product. When I purchased this highlighter I didn’t think it would be a dupe for anything as I assumed it was just trying to be the ABH Highlighter but after opening the lid for the very first time, I instantly knew what the shade was identical to.

The Becca Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed is my favourite, more intense higher end highlighter as is a straight up pearly white shimmer shade which when applied with a light hand, looks really pretty on my super pale skin. The Hojo Brilliance Highlighter in 03 is a spot on dupe for the Becca Pearl Highlighter, and it even looks identical when applied to the skin.

It’s an intense, metallic bright white with a creamy, smooth consistency that applies easily to the skin without looking chunky like some metallic highlighters can. For under £4 this really is an amazing highlighter, and I am so glad I decided to give it a try as it’s one of my favourite AliExpress discoveries to date.
