Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick

Maybelline are one of my favourite drugstore brands, and I particularly love their range of lipsticks. They’ve launched endless different ranges of lipstick under their Color Sensational range, and their newest range is the Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick formula which I just had to try as I’m all about a glossy lip. The lipstick is available in 15 different shades, and is £6.99.

I chose the Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick in the shade Baddest Beige 50 after watching one of Jaclyn Hill’s videos, as it looked like an amazing nude shade. The formula was even featured in the Oprah Magazine Fall Beauty O-Wards, and the description of 60 percent reflective oils totally had me sold as I love balmy, glossy oil infused lip colours.

The packaging is so pretty with a pink, mirrored plastic casing and the lipstick bullet is rounded, and reminds me of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters both in terms of shape, and in formula.

This swatch is maybe two or three swipes of the lipstick, just look at that shine. I’ve tried so many different balmy lipsticks, but never had a lipstick offer as much shine as the Shine Compulsion formula. It looks like a lipgloss on the lips, and feels as comfortable as a lipbalm.

Baddest Beige is the prettiest pinky toned nude which I can’t stop wearing everyday as it complements absolutely any eye makeup look, and is the kind of lip colour you can apply on the go without a mirror. I’m already eyeing up Secret Blush or Undressed Pink as I love the formula so much, and if you too like a glossy, balmy lip colour, you have to try the Shine Compulsion Lipstick formula.

You can purchase the Shine Compulsion Lipsticks at Boots.
