Whenever a brand launches a lip gloss, I’m pretty much onboard with trying it. I just love lipgloss and I have done ever since I tried my very first try of makeup which was from Collection 2000 way back in my early teens. Whenever I post about lipgloss, I always get comments from those that are anti-gloss because they think glosses are too sticky or their hair gets stuck to gloss. However not all glosses were created equal and there are glosses that aren’t sticky, and don’t attach itself to your hair. Everyone is raving about the Fenty Lip Glosses, and the new Revolution Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Gloss range is very obviously ‘inspired’ by the Fenty Gloss Bombs.
Revolution Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Gloss:
“Plump up your pout with 7 shades of ultimate high-shine lip glosses. Infused with Vitamin E for added nourishment, these glosses load your lips up with a rich glossy pigment plus you’ll feel a soft tingling effect for maximum volume & impact.”
The Revolution Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Gloss collection are £5 each, and available in seven different shades. The Fenty Gloss Bombs are hexagon shaped bottles which are super chunky with a metallic lid, and the packaging of the Revolution lip gloss is very similar. Instead of a hexagon shaped tube, the Revolution glosses have round tubes with metallic lids. Both formulas have chunky doefoot applicators, and I chose the shade Kiss which looks remarkably similar to the Fenty Gloss Bomb in the shade Fu$$y.
I included swatches of the gloss with one swipe and then three swipes so you can see how pigmented the gloss formula is. Kiss is such a pretty, super wearable light pink which is a ‘my lips but better’ cliché kind of shade that looks almost identical to my natural lip colour. Although Fenty Fu$$y contains shimmer, Kiss doesn’t and all of the shades of the Pout Bomb Glosses are free from shimmer.
The gloss has a sweet mint scent with a subtle sweet taste which instantly tingles as soon as you apply it to the lips. As the formula is described as being ‘plumping’ I did expect a tingle, but this is quite a strong tingly gloss but it’s no way near as strong as the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Glosses which burn the lips. It doesn’t have amazing plumping action, but it does make a subtle difference to the lips and I really love the colour.
You can purchase Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Glosses over on Superdrug.
