Superdrug Bathing Lab Body Yogurt

Superdrug Bathing Lab Body Yogurt Review in the fragrance Exotic

The Layering Lab is a range of different Superdrug body sprays, and they recently extended the range to include some bath and body products, as well as some eau de toilettes. I really rate the Layering Lab Body Mists for the price so I had to buy one of the eau de toilettes which I reviewed previously on my blog here. I bought the Superdrug Layering Lab Eau de Toilette in Exotic as it’s my favourite scent they do, but I decided to purchase the matching body lotion from the Bathing Lab collection; the Superdrug Bathing Lab Body Yogurt £3.99.

The Superdrug Bathing Lab Body Yogurt is £3.99 for 200ml and is available currently in just the one fragrance on the Superdrug website which is Exotic, but I imagine the range will be extended further as there are nine fragrances within the body mist line, so it makes sense that they’d create bath and body products in the same scents.

The Exotic scent is said to be a blend of orange blossom and night jasmine, and to me the Exotic fragrance smells exactly like the YSL Black Opium perfume which is one of my absolute favourite fragrances. The body yogurt sounds fancy, but it’s just a body lotion in a pot like container. The Body Shop do a body yogurt which is quite thick and rich, but the Superdrug Bathing Lab Body Yogurt is actually lightweight and not yogurt like in consistency or formula.

Due to the lightweight consistency, it doesn’t impart a lot of moisture into the skin but it’s quick to absorb and does feel lovely once fully massaged in. In all honesty I think £3.99 is too much for a Superdrug own brand body lotion, especially as it’s a little underwhelming compared to the fab body mists and eau de toilette. The scent fades really quickly too so it’s a little disappointing, and I wouldn’t purchase any of the other body yogurts now, as I’d rather pay £5 for a Dove body lotion which offers more hydration and their scents have better longevity on the skin too.

You can purchase the Bathing Lab Body Yogurt on the Superdrug website.
