Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party Swatched

Nobody does makeup Christmas gift sets like Too Faced. Every year their Christmas collection is highly sought after, and for good reason too. Too Faced manage to combine quality with cute, and they had an amazing Christmas collection this year. The Too Faced Christmas Star Palette has been my most used palette for the month of December, so I was really excited to give the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party Palette Set a try as it looked even more beautiful.

The whole Too Faced Christmas range this year has an edible theme which is just adorable, and the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party Palette Set is the star gift within their Christmas collection, and is priced at £55 at Boots and Debenhams. The packaging is so cute with a big pastel pink and gold foil patterned box with a gingerbread house on the front of the box. In the US this palette is priced at $58 and is marketed as containing a staggering $353 value which just goes to show how incredible this set is.

Inside the box, the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party is packaged within a plastic tray with the different sections of the palette laid out to be an house with three different palettes. In addition to the three different palettes, the set also contains three Too Faced makeup products too; the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick. The Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is in the shade Gingerbread Man, and has the most amazing gingerbread scent, and is a rust brown colour.

Each of the three sections of the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party are magnetised so they stick together, and it’s so cute that the three palettes make up different parts of the house with a front door, a roof and the main house too. The door of the ‘house’ is a small, rectangular palette with six eyeshadows. The mini palette contains four stunning pressed glitter eyeshadows as well as two matte shades. Just look how beautiful these glitters are, they are so multi-dimensional and so perfect for the party season. I really like that Too Faced included two neutral shades which complement the four glitter shades to make a full makeup look.

The roof of the palette houses three face powders with an highlighter, a blush and a bronzer. There are face powders within the Too Faced Christmas Star Palette and the quality is fantastic, and these three face powders within this palette are equally fantastic. The highlighter is a pretty champagne shade, the blush is a medium pink with a satin finish and the bronzer is warm toned shade with a satin finish.

For me, the star attraction within the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party has to be the twenty pan eyeshadow palette – its absolutely beautiful. The shadows are laid out in rows of four, but I swatched in rows of five as I felt like the rows of five were more cohesive for eyeshadow looks rather than the fours. There isn’t one disappointing shadow inside the whole palette, I can’t believe how pigmented they are.

The mattes are exceptionally smooth, buttery and blend like a dream and the shimmers are out of this world. Some of the shimmers are so exceptionally shimmery that they’re foiled. My favourites have to be the duochrome shades, they are so unique but to striking and look so multi-dimensional on the lids. My stand out shades from the whole palette would have to be Tinsel Town which is the closest eyeshadow shade I’ve seen to be holographic. My photo doesn’t do it justice but it really does look holographic on the lids.

Get Elfed Up might be one of the prettiest eyeshadow shades I’ve ever seen and is a duochrome, grungy green with a yellow shift. My last standout shade is Hot & Coal which is so unique as it’s a matte black saturated with different colours of glitter. Most of the time glitter within a matte never translates onto the eyes, but the glitter in this shade does and it’s incredible.

I can’t rave about the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party set enough. It really is amazing value, but the quality of everything within the set is so impressive. If you see this palette, I’d highly recommend picking it up if you love Too Faced as you’ll absolutely love this palette and the fact that it includes three deluxe miniature sizes of their bestselling makeup products makes it even better value.
