Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box
If like me, you’re a massive beauty box obsessive, you’ll love the box I have to show you today. I think most of us are over the likes of the Birchbox and Glossybox, so I’m all about the more exciting and unique beauty boxes and Showcase Beauty have collaborated with Good Housekeeping for a gem of a box. Showcase Beauty pride themselves on being the home of independent beauty, and they have sustainable, all natural and vegan beauty brands to offer. The Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box collaboration is a one off box for £49, however it contains over £170 worth of products.
“Introducing Good Housekeeping’s collaboration with Showcase Beauty – a box bursting with beauty treats to get you through winter and beyond, from a pillow mist for a better night’s sleep to a gloss that nourishes dry lips while tinting them too.“
The Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box is filled with curated independent beauty favourites from around the world. Each of the products inside the box have been hand-picked by Showcase Beauty’s beauty editors. The contents are worth over £170, and includes eight full size products. I love beauty boxes which offer full sized products, and this box particularly stood out to me as it contained award winning brands such as Neom, Vita Liberata, Lumity, Jane Scrivner and more. Not only does the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box offer amazing value for money with its cruelty free, vegan, organic and pregnancy safe beauty treats, it’s also available with free and fast 48hr UK delivery and returns too.
NEOM Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist 30ml worth £20
“A really special complex blend using only 100% natural fragrances with 14 of the purest possible dreamy essential oils including English lavender, chamomile & patchouli plus little touches of other perfectly chosen natural essential oils expertly blended to help you relax and prepare for sleep.”
- Use the Pillow Mist layered with a dreamy Tranquillity™ candle before bedtime to allow the fragrance to fill the room
- Lasts up to 3 months / 30ml
- 100% natural fragrances
NEOM are such a lovely brand, and I’m a massive fan of their decadent candles. The first product included within the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box is their lovely Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist in a travel friendly 30ml size. It’s from their Scent to Sleep collection, and ranked as one of the brand’s top 5 iconic hero products. I use a lavender based pillow spray every single night, and this is one of the most potent, luxurious pillow sprays I’ve tried.
Vita Liberata Beauty Blur Skin Tone Optimiser 10ml worth £9.98 (shade Latte / Medium-Dark)
“Beauty Blur Sunless Glow is the multitasking skin tone optimiser, nourishing makeup primer and lasting self-tan for your most radiant, always on face glow. Containing Vita Liberata’s unique Advoganic luxury skincare formulas.
Beauty Blur optimises skin tone by minimising blemishes and evening out your complexion. This is ultimate primer, helping make up glide onto the skin and last all day. Also, can be worn as a CC cream for an all natural no makeup look. The Sunless Glow technology develops a sun-kissed glow during wear, leaving you with a tan that lasts for up to seven days. Appropriate for all skin types due to its non comedogenic properties.”
I’ve never tried anything from Vita Liberata before, because I don’t use fake tan products. However, I know they’re a very popular brand, so their inclusion within the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box is bound to please many. This is described as being a both a moisturising primer and skin finish in one. It claims to offer correction, cover and radiance in just one step.
Memi Lash to Lash Mascara Volume Edition 7.5ml worth £10 (Carbon Black)
“Designed to separate, lengthen and curl your lashes. MEMI Lash To Lash mascara lengthens and defines your lashes. Our Lash To Lash mascara features a beautifully designed tapered wand to coat each individual lash with ease. No flaking, water and smudge resistant… get ready for silky smooth lashes.”
- Carbon black
- Long wearing
- Smudge resistant
- Flake proof
- Water resistant
- Cruelty Free
- Vegan Certified
You can’t go wrong with a mascara within a beauty box, and Memi is a brand I’ve never come across before. For a £10 mascara, it has surprisingly luxe packaging with a heavy silver casing. The packaging reminds me of the Clarins mascaras, and the natural bristled wand has a curved mascara brush. I can’t wait to try this mascara, it’s so luxe and beautiful and the wand looks like it would be amazing for adding volume and length to the lashes.
Studio 10 Lip Perfecting Balm Gloss worth £22 (01 Bellini)
“Our latest triple action, hybrid formulation that is a balm, treatment and gloss in one! One sweep instantly gives a fuller appearance and an enviable shine. In a universally flattering, sheer peachy-gold to warm the skin tone, the glide is effortless and transfer-free too, so no residual stickiness. With the highest quality skincare ingredients, your lips will feel nourished and cared for, whilst looking perfectly plumped all day long.“
This is the only product within the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box which doesn’t come in secondary packaging which is a little strange. Especially for a lip product, as you’d prefer it to be within a box for hygiene reasons. I love lip gloss, so I really like that there’s one included within this box, especially a shade as pretty as Bellini. Bellini looks like the prettiest peach with a golden shimmer shift, and I bet it would be perfect for Spring and Summer.
Dr. Lipp Moisturising Colour Lip Tint worth £6.99 (Red Radish Pigment)
“100% natural…not 99%! Formulated on our Multi-Award winning ORIGINAL NIPPLE BALM famous for its long-lasting moisture! Tinted with plant pigments rich in natural antioxidants. Basically a superfood for your skin with no nasty chemicals for sexy tinted lips & bits!“
The Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm is a best-selling product, but this is one of their three tinted shades which utilise superfood pigments (red radish, sweet potato and elderberry). It’s crazy how many awards Dr. Lipp have won, and I liked the original formula so it’s fab they’ve introduced some tinted versions to the range.
Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream 65ml worth £31
“A deeply nourishing day cream which leaves the skin feeling hydrated without feeling greasy or leaving shine on the skin. Suitable for all skin types this quickly absorbed, botanical rich cream contains camelia seed to lock in moisture and decongesting germanium blossom to calm irritated skin.”
- No lauryl sulphate
- No petrochemicals
- No artificial fragrances
- No synthetic colours
I’ve heard so much about the Grown Alchemist brand, but it’s another brand that’s new to me. This is a daily moisturiser in a nice, rustic metal tube. The packaging has a whole apothecary vibe, and it sounds like such a great moisturiser. I like that it’s free from so many nasties, so it’ll be ideal for when my skin’s feeling particularly sensitive and dry.
Evolve Organic Beauty Satin Body Gloss 100ml worth £22
“This beautifully fragranced lightweight multi purpose silicone-free dry oil for body, face and hair is designed to lovingly nourish the skin and deliver a satin like finish in a convenient easy to apply spray mist.
Organic Camellia Seed Oil and tropical Tahitian Monoi impart a satiny gloss to the skin and hair without any greasiness. Mineral mica and titanium add a hint of gold sparkle and shimmer (so don’t forget to shake the bottle before use). Fragranced with a 100% natural Rose, Lavandin, Jasmine, Orange blossom fragrance with a heart of delicious vanilla and woody notes.“
I’ve seen my friend Rachel rave about Evolve Beauty but this is the first product I’ll be trying of theirs, so I’m glad to see it inside the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box. This Body Gloss comes in a brown glass bottle, with a pump packaged separately within the box. The gloss can be used lightly on the skin, body and hair to reveal a satin finish. It has a subtle golden hue, with a subtle citrus scent.
Jane Scrivner Skinfoliate Natural & Organic AHA/BHA Resurfacing Exfoliator 150ml worth £26
“Combining natural AHA & BHA acids SKINFOLIATE is formulated to achieve multi-level exfoliation for daily use whilst regulating and maintaining our Acid Mantle. Using Malic, Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic and Citric acids in a unique ‘staggered penetration’ blend to work on every level of skin exfoliation and stimulation, SKINFOLIATE works deep to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis and cell renewal.”
This is the product I was most looking forward to trying from the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box as I love a good skin exfoliator. I’ve never seen this product before, so I don’t know if what it’s like but it’s something I’ll definitely report back on. It doesn’t have the nicest of scents, but it’s possibly down to the amount of acids inside the formula. It sounds like it’s going to be super effective, which is exactly what my skin needs right now.
Lumity Morning Supplements (21 Softgels sample) worth £9.37
This is the one product that I’ve tried, within the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box. It’s a sachet of 21 capsules of the Lumity Morning supplements. The card inside the box says you should get a sample of both the morning and night supplements, but in my Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box there was only a sample of the Morning version as this is a press box. I did a post on Lumity last year, and they’re a great brand (this image is from my original post). But if you purchase this box, you’ll get a sachet of morning and night capsules like the card suggests.
You can snap the Good Housekeeping x Showcase Beauty Box up right here.
