The Pixi Pretties collection is Pixi’s collaboration with a whole host of influencers. Pixi’s first #PixiPretties collaboration was back in Spring 2017, and they collaborated with Caroline Hirons, It’s Judy Time, MaryamNYC and AspyNovard. The newest round of the collaboration saw Pixi collaborate with RachhLoves, That’s Heart, From Head to Toe, Chloe Morello and MaryamNYC. Chloe Morello have collaborated with Pixi to launch some new shades of the Pixi Lip Icing Lip Glow lip glosses, and I have all three to share with you today.
Chloe Morello originally launched the Pixi Lip Icing in Cake back in June 2018, and due to how popular it’s been, they’ve launched three new shades alongside the existing Cake shade. Each of the Lip Icing glosses are £16, and the three shades are; Sorbet, Bonbon and Parfait.
This liquid lip adds a 3D glimmer. Use on bare lips or on top of lip colour for an instant glow-boost. Infused with nourishing rose hip & marula oil.
• Rose hip smooths & conditions
• Marula oil nourishes & softens
• Use bare lips or on top of lip colour
• Can also be applied just to the centre of the lips to create a fuller pout
The Pixi Lip Icing Lip Glow glosses are packaged within clear plastic tubes, with pastel green lids. The glosses each have a doefoot applicator which works well to evenly apply the gloss in a thin, even layer to the lips. They all have the most amazing, vanilla scent which smells good enough to eat, and works well with their food related names. The Cake shade has a very pale bronze, translucent base with pink, silver, copper and gold glitter particles.
Pixi Lip Icing Lip Glow Review and Swatches
Parfair, Bonbon and Sorbet look quite bold and vibrant in the tubes but they’re much sheerer on the lips. All four of these shades are swatched four times so I could show you how sparkly and multi-dimensional they all are but I’d only ever wear them in a single or double layer. Parfait is the prettiest pale pink gloss with pastel pink sparkle, Bonbon is a bright pink gloss with silver and blue sparkle, whilst Sorbet has a lilac gloss with blue iridescent sparkle.
The Pixi Lip Icing formula is one of my favourite gloss formulas as they’re not at all sticky, and they actually leave the lips feeling soft and smooth during and after wearing them. The sparkle looks so pretty and they really do look nice when worn alone or layered over lipstick too. I love the Cake shade so much, and said in my original review that I’d hoped Pixi was making the gloss permanent and would add new shades, so I’m delighted they have as it’s a really lovely lip gloss.
