I don’t know about you, but for me, hairbrushes aren’t the most exciting of beauty products. All of us need them, and use them but I’m just not excited about hair brushes in general. I think it’s because they are a product which is an essential, but a good quality hairbrush really can make a massive difference to our hair.
So Eco see themselves as being the face of responsible eco-friendly beauty, and their products combat the problems of excessive and plastic packaging that has inundated the media in recent years. The environmental impact on plastics is huge and So Eco incorporates eco-focused principles that ensure a lower impact on the environment through responsibly sourced product and packaging solutions. The So Eco Biodegradable Detangling Brush is the first product I’ve tried of theirs and it’s only £9.
I can’t wash my hair without using a detangling hair brush, they really are an essential within my haircare collection. My hair is super fine and long, and thus becomes tangled very easily. I have a sensitive scalp so an ordinary brush isn’t comfortable for me to use, so the So Eco Biodegradable Detangling Brush really appealed to me.
Both So Eco’s product packaging and transit packaging is eco-friendly by using sustainable or bio-degradable materials. Their product packaging is printed with vegetable inks, compostable corn starch windows and water based adhesives which are solvent free. The So Eco Biodegradable Detangling Brush has a textured, beige handle with a black cushion with ball ended pins which have been designed to be gentle on the scalp.
The back of the brush has a subtle leaf design, and it’s crazy how lightweight this brush is. It weighs no more than a comb, but the ball ended pins are super flexible, so they glide through their hair, and untangle knots without tugging at the scalp. If you’ve ever tried a Wet Brush, this brush is just as effective but it’s completely biodegradable which is ideal for those that are more environmentally conscious.
