W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set Review and Swatches

W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set Review and Swatches

W7 have built up a reputation of creating ‘dupes’ of higher end products, with similar shades and packaging. W7 were doing the duping thing long before Revolution were on the scene, and they’ve been launching a lot of new products over the last few months. I spotted the W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set on eBay, and thought it looked very similar to the Huda Beauty Blushed Nudes Liquid Lipstick Set which is £33 for four shades, and the W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set is just £4.99 for four shades.

I’ve tried the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks before, but I don’t own their Blushed Nudes set, so I can’t compare the shades between the two sets. W7 have two different versions of their liquid lipstick sets; W7 Duped Nice Nudes and W7 Perfect Pinks. I know Christmas is now done and dusted, but this set really would make a lovely gift for a liquid lipstick fan, especially if they’ve been wanting to try the Huda Liquid Matte Lipsticks as the packaging is very, very similar.

W7 have their own website, however for some reason they don’t have either Duped! Matte Liquid Lipstick sets on their website. I personally never order through the W7 website as their prices are way too high compared to the prices you can pay from the likes of Fragrance Direct or on eBay. The W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set is packaged within a cardboard box, with a clear sleeve which is identical to the Huda Beauty version, and the lipsticks are all miniature size with just 2ml of product per shade.

Even though the lipsticks are miniature, they still look sleek, and they have a subtle vanilla scent. They have a frosted effect to the tubes, with black plastic lids and a doe foot applicator. Strangely enough, the shades aren’t individually named, so I’ve just called them shade 1-4 for my swatches, but I think it would have been better had they had their own names. From looking at the W7 website, you can’t purchase these shades individually, so if you do like the look of any of the shades, you would have to purchase the set.

The four shades within the W7 Duped Nice Nudes Matte Liquid Lipstick Set are all different variations of nude, and all four shades are very pretty. The shades inside the Perfect Pinks set are quite different with bright, berry and medium pink shades.

Shade 1 is a mauve toned nude, 2 is a pinky toned nude, 3 is a brown toned nude and 3 is a beige toned nude. Each of these four swatches are just one swipe of the doefoot applicator, and as you can see, they’re pretty pigmented. You’re not going to get full opacity in one swipe on the lips, but if layered over a lip liner, they’re very close.

There are no claims anywhere on the packaging for the formula, but they are long lasting. Whenever I do swatches for my blog, I have a packet of micellar wipes and a makeup removal cloth to remove swatches and both struggled to remove the swatches once they’d fully dried. They perform the same on the lips, but they are a little drying, so I prefer to wear them layered with a lip gloss for a little more hydration otherwise they can look a little dry.

For £1.24 per shade, I think this is a really great liquid lipstick set and all four shades are very pretty, but if I had to choose a favourite, it would have to be 2 or 4 but there isn’t one shade I don’t love within the set.

You can purchase the Duped! Liquid Matte Lipstick Set on eBay.
