I tried a Magnitone Cleansing Brush a few years ago and I loved how effective it was at cleansing and exfoliating the skin, but my skin has become more sensitive in the last few years so I’m no longer able to use cleansing brushes. I was given the chance to try the Magnitone XOXO Micro-Sonic SoftTouch Silicone Cleansing Brush, and I couldn’t wait to try it and see how it compared to other silicone cleansing devices I’ve tried.
What is the Magnitone XOXO Micro-Sonic SoftTouch Silicone Cleansing Brush?
“With Micro-Sonic technology and non-replaceable, naturally antibacterial PurO Silicone, this super soft cleansing brush will cleanse deep, brighten and soften skin, for a more radiant, healthy glow.
If you have sensitive skin, or just want to experience an ultra-soft, yet deep way to cleanse, upgrade your hands to this gentle, yet powerful, Magnitone XOXO Micro-Sonic SoftTouch Silicone Cleansing Brush that will go with you wherever you travel. Made from PurO™ high-grade silicone (naturally antibacterial) and USB rechargeable, it means you’ll never need to replace parts. Just enjoy brighter, softer and healthier-looking skin. xoxo
XOXO has 3 cleansing zones in each corner for different skin types (or different areas of the face); oily/normal, dry/sensitive, massage. And it has 8 speed settings to allow you to fully customise your cleansing routine.
Fully waterproof, rechargeable via USB (1 charge takes 2 hours and lasts a month), and made from naturally antibacterial PurO™ high-grade silicone, meaning you can keep on giving your skin the love it deserves time and time again without needing to replace anything.“
How to use the Magnitone XOXO
STEP 1: Wet your brush. Apply usual cleanser to face or brush. Press the button once
STEP 2: Choose your cleansing zone appropriate to your skin type. Select the speed you prefer and gently glide the brush over skin in small circles, let the Micro-Sonic pulsations do all the work. After 1 minute (or when your skin feels squeaky clean and refreshed), turn the brush off
STEP 3 : Rinse your face and gently pat dry
STEP 4: Apply your regular creams and moisturisers… watch them sink in like never before
The Magnitone XOXO Micro-Sonic SoftTouch Silicone Cleansing Brush is £40 and available in two colours; Green or Pink. I chose the pink colour as I just love pink, but it’s great that there’s a choice of shades. The Magnitone XOXO is a triangle shaped silicone device with micro-sonic technology, and is non-replaceable. The PurO silicone is naturally antibacterial making it good for problematic skin, and the super soft finish of the device claims to deep cleanse, brighten and soften the skin.
The XOXO can be used by those with sensitive skin, which is why it appealed to me as many cleansing devices are just too harsh for my skin. It offers upto a staggering 8000 micro-sonic pulsations per minute, to get deep under the skin’s surface when hands can’t, to dislodge trapped impurities for the deepest of cleanse. The triangle shape has been designed to give you three individual zones, for different skin areas on the face, or types.
It’s USB rechargeable so you can charge on the go, and it has 8 speeds allowing you to customise your treatment. It’s amazing that once you’ve done a whole charge (which takes two hours), you’ll have enough power for a full month making it perfect for taking away on holiday with you. Cleansing brushes aren’t the most travel friendly as you have to allow the brush to fully dry before packing it, but the silicone can be wiped dry in seconds.
It only takes 60 seconds, and the silicone nodules are super soft, and feel very gentle during use. I think it’s great that you can choose which of the three areas you want to use, and on which part of your face depending on sensitivities. I like to use the larger, raised nodules around my nose, chin and forehead as that’s where I’m more prone to blemishes. But for the rest of my face, I need the other two more gentle areas on the Magnitone XOXO. It works well with liquid, cream, balm and oil cleansers and I think £40 is a great price for an electronic cleansing device, when many similar brands charge upto and over £100 for similar technology.
