PaMu Scroll By Padmate Wireless Earphones Review

Ever since I got my iPhone XS Max a year ago, I’ve just used the earphones that came with the phone, and they’re awful. They get so tangled up, the sound isn’t great, and they fall out of my ears repeatedly. I’ve been wanting some wireless earphones for some time, but didn’t want Apple AirPods because they’re extortionately priced, and the shape is the same as the standard wired EarPods, so I’d end up with the same issue of them falling out over and over again. So I’ve been on the hunt for a set of wireless earphones which have a better shape and design, so I don’t have to worry about them falling out as they are more expensive than just your bog standard corded earphones. I came across the PaMu Scroll By Padmate, and the design looked like exactly what I was looking for.

Who are Padmate?

Padmate’s success story started with a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in March 2018. This became one of the most funded audio gear campaigns on the platform. The brand from China now wants to become increasingly active in Europe and is focusing on products that combine fashion with high-quality technology.

Padmate are known for their wireless earphones, famous for their multi-million dollar crowdfunding campaigns. Their newest launch are the PaMu Scroll By Padmate, which are Bluetooth 5.0 earphones offering high-quality sound, stylish design, optimal wearer comfort and are IPX6-certified.

The PaMu Scroll By Padmate BT 5.0 True Wireless Earphones are $79 and available in four different designs; Graphene, Sakura, Glory and Rock ‘n Roll. At the time of writing this post, the earphones are only available via the Padmate website, or through Amazon. However, the exciting news is that they’re launching in Selfridges this quarter.

They are said to feature one of the most stable Bluetooth 5.0 connections on the market for efficient power consumption and 4x greater range. The 6 millimetre graphene driver guarantees perfect sound quality and lifelike voice reproduction. The headphones have a runtime of 3.5 hours, but can be recharged 3 times with the charge case, so they deliver power for around 12 hours of music enjoyment.

The earphones come with a ‘scroll’ shaped leather charging case which helps to protect your earphones during transit, and also holds the earphone whilst charging too – as they’re held magnetically. I’m not the most technological, so I’d recommend reading this handy tech page Padmate have made as it talks through all the features of the earphones, and the reasons why they’re superior to Apple AirPods.

The battery inside is a 500 mAh battery, and the built-in magnet ensures precise closing of the box. The scroll keeps the earphones charged whilst not in use, and on the left side of the case there’s a micro USB charging connector, and they also support wireless charging according to the latest standard. Inside the scroll, there are silicone tips in three different sizes; S / M / L, which fit perfectly to the inside of the ear. They only weigh 5g, making them very light within the ear.

The PaMu Scroll By Padmate come with an IPX6 certification that effectively protects the PaMu Scroll against splash water, sweat and rain, making them perfect for use whilst working out. They have an auto pairing function, with touch control making them super easy to use and you can control music, playback, make calls or activate the voice assistant by just pressing a button on the right or left of the ear. You can activate Siri or the Google Assistant by double-clicking on the left headset.

I have the PaMu Scroll By Padmate in the Sakura design, with the prettiest metallic blush pink leather scroll, white plastic and rose gold accents. The earphones are white and rose gold, and they’re just so aesthetically pleasing. I’ve never seen such a pretty pair of earphones before, and whilst the colour and appearance isn’t as important, the quality of sound is fab too. The silicone ear tips do a great job at keeping the earphones in the ear, and they’re so comfortable to use. If you’ve been looking for a set of wireless earphones, you really can’t go wrong with the PaMu Scroll By Padmate Earphones.
