If a skincare product has hyaluronic within the title, I’m pretty much sold. The Alpha H Hyaluronic 8 Hyaluronic Acid Serum sounded like exactly what I needed for my super dry and dehydrated skin this winter. Alpha H are known for their iconic Liquid Gold, but they’re so much more than just their Liquid Gold. I’ve tried many different Alpha H products, and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried.

“Everyone wants the perfectly plump, firm and radiant skin we’re born with forever. But it’s a simple fact of life that as we age, our skin’s supply stores of Hyaluronic Acid begin to decline, and the attributes that come with it are on their way out too.
Hyaluronic 8 is a ground-breaking alternative to more invasive treatments which features eight multi-weighted hydrating ingredients, including exciting next generation flash filling Hyaluronic Acid, PrimalHyal Ultrafiller™.
Hyaluronic Acid is well known for its moisturising properties, but the forms found in many topical products are molecularly too large to penetrate deeper into the skin, instead providing only surface hydration. Not all Hyaluronic Acids are created equal though, and that’s where Hyaluronic 8’s ground-breaking ingredients truly set it apart.
Hyaluronic 8’s ‘magic eight’ instantaneously provide moisture to the surface of the skin while simultaneously penetrating deep into the lower layers of the dermis to build a sustainable moisture reservoir.”
The Alpha H Hyaluronic 8 Hyaluronic Acid Serum is £38 and contains 25ml within a white, glass bottle with a pipette dispenser. The claims for this serum are pretty bold, and I’d recommend reading them in full over on the Alpha H website, and they even havve a video talking you through the product too, which is always helpful. The directions are nice and simple, you just apply 2-3 drops each morning to a cleansed face, neck and décolletage. Follow with your preferred Alpha-H daily moisturiser with SPF.
The Alpha H Hyaluronic 8 Hyaluronic Acid Serum has a thin consistency which is quite runny, and as it’s so thin, it’s easy to smooth other the skin. I can’t really say I notice any firming of the skin, or benefits that resemble anything remotely like having dermal fillers. It is a super hydrating serum, which my skin is loving right now as it just drinks it up. Many serums claim to add hydration, but this serum gives you hydration on another level. It’s incredible!
I feel like this serum would be a great one to own if you use retinol, or acids that might leave your skin feeling a little more sensitive or dry, as it’s very soothing and manages to calm any inflammation too. I like using this serum after using acids, and the duo together leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth, refined and plumped. I have noticed that my tiny dehydration lines on the tops of my cheeks have softened since I started using the serum, and my skin overall both looks and feels so much more hydrated.
