Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist

I’ve become quite a big fan of Aveeno over the last few months, ever since I tried the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Hand Cream. I decided I wanted to explore more from the brand, and I spotted the Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist on offer, so I bought it alongside the Daily Moisturising Body Wash.

During the winter months, I absolutely hate putting body lotion on. I have really dry skin anyway, but the winter makes everyone’s skin a lot drier than normal, so I need body lotion more than ever, but I just hate waiting around after a shower for my body lotion to absorb before getting changed. I’ve tried multiple body lotions in a spray format, and I think it’s genius. However, it can be a shock when using them, as their aerosol packaging means they come out feeling pretty cold which always makes me jump, especially after a hot shower.

I recently finished up my Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray, and was looking at the different spray body lotions Superdrug had to offer, but I was surprised by how very few there are. I used to like the Palmers Spray Lotion version, but it appears they’ve now discontinued their body lotion spray. The Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist is £7.49 for 200ml, which I feel is a little pricey but the whole Aveeno range is quite pricey for a drugstore skincare and bodycare brand.

Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist Review

Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist

The Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist has a fine spray, which mists an even amount of lotion over the skin. Spray body lotions can be messy at the best of times, and they tend to send body lotion all over the place but I like the spray on this Aveeno lotion. The one downside of this particular product for me, is that it’s unscented. I much prefer scented body products but I know fragrance can be very irritating for the skin, and Aveeno products tend to be designed for those with reactive, sensitive skin so it totally makes sense why it would be unscented.

The lotion has a milky consistency which is very lightweight and massages into the skin in seconds with very little effort. It’s perfect for cold mornings as it never feels sticky, and it doesn’t make your clothes stick to you either. It offers a decent amount of hydration, but I can’t say it does impart moisture for 48 hours as I feel the need to apply more after around 24 hours. If you don’t have exceptionally dry skin, you might find that it does hydrate your skin for 48 hours, but it really doesn’t bother me that I have to reapply as it is so quick and fuss free.
