I have raved about the Heng Fang Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows many times on my blog. So when I saw the new Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow formula, I knew I had to try it. If you’ve not seen my two posts on the Heng Fang Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows, they’re essentially the best Stila Glitter and Glow dupes I’ve found, and they’re only £1.50 each.
The original formula is still available, but the Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow is a brand new formula with completely different packaging, so I bought one shade to try, to see how it compared to the original formula I know I love.
Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow
I paid £1.55 for my Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow, but the price has increased since then. It could be that they’ve now become more popular, so they’re hiked the price up but they’re around £2 now and I ordered mine from the AliExpress, but it appears they don’t sell the eyeshadows anymore.
There are 12 different shades to choose from, and they don’t have shades online. I chose shade 12 from the swatches I saw, but on the bottom of the tube it says Bling Style, so I don’t know if that’s the name of my particular shade, or if that’s just what the eyeshadows are called, but it’s definitely shade 12.
The Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow has completely different packaging to their Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows, which have rectangular tubes like the Stila shadows with a metallic lid. These new shadows have pointed tubes, with a purple pointed lid and purple base. The tube has holographic writing on it, and it just looks a little more unique than their other packaging. Both designs have doefoot applicators, but I think I prefer this new packaging as it’s a bit more fun and unique.
The Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in shade 12 or Bling Style, has a chocolate brown base with silver and bronze glitter. I included one swipe straight from the tube, and then multiple swipes of the doefoot after doing the first swatch, and as you can see the formula is very pigmented and saturated with pretty glitter. It’s not opaque in these swatches, but you can easily get an opaque effect by applying two thin layers, and allowing the first layer to fully dry in between.
I own all the shades of the original Heng Fang shadows, and this shade isn’t identical to any of those shades. The base colour is slightly similar to shade 11 in the original formula, but it’s a touch warmer than this Heng Fang Shadow Cream Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow shade 12. The sparkle within this eyeshadow is slightly bigger and more intense than their other formula.
This formula has more of an impact with more obvious sparkle, whereas the Glitter and Glow version is more subtle. Either way, both formulas are fantastic and so good for the price. When you consider one Stila shade is £24, and one of these is £2 it’s incredible especially as they perform exactly the same, with the same pigmentation, longevity and wow factor.
