Makeup Obsession are one of the Revolution sister brands, and they’re stocked in Boots whereas the rest of the Revolution products can be found in Superdrug. I bought the Makeup Obsession Game Set Matte Matte Baked Powder as part of a recent Boots online order I did, and they had a free gift deal where I needed to spend a certain amount for a free product. I only needed to spend another £3 for the free gift so I chose the Makeup Obsession Game Set Matte Matte Baked Powder as it was only £3.
I don’t recall ever reading a review on the Makeup Obsession Game Set Matte Matte Baked Powder, so I had no idea if it was any good. It did look a little similar to my Revolution Pro Skin Finish Powder I absolutely love, so I figured it was worth a try, especially as the free gift was worth over £20 and powder is the kind of product you’re always going to use and need. The powder comes in just six shades, with Cabo being the palest shade and Kalahari being the deepest.
Being very pale, I chose Cabo but I couldn’t find swatches online, so I wasn’t that sure it’d work for me but I decided to try it as I thought I could always use it as a powder to set my eyeshadow base, if it did turn out to be way too dark for my skintone. For £3 you get 7.5g of product, in a clear lidded plastic compact. I like that the name of the product is written in holographic writing on the front, and it looks pretty sleek for a £3 powder.
Makeup Obsession Game Set Matte Swatches
I had to swatch the Makeup Obsession Game Set Matte Matte Baked Powder very heavily in order for it to be visible as the shade is such an amazing match for my skintone, and you’d never apply powder this heavily to the skin. It has the most silky, finely milled texture which is identical to the Revolution Pro version but this one is nearly half the price. I have used and loved the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish powders in the past, and the Skinfinish Nautral in Light is essentially this product in a nutshell. Cabo is paler than MAC Light, but they perform exactly the same at mattifying the skin and setting your makeup which is fantastic for only £3.
