MUA Glitter Glue Review / Swatches

MUA Glitter Glue Review and Swatches

If you’re looking for a budget friendly glitter glue, you need to try the MUA Glitter Glue. I’ve tried many different glitter glues from Too Faced, Revolution, NYX and Barry M but none of them compare to the MUA Glitter Glue, especially in terms of price. The Too Faced Glitter Glue was the original glitter adhesive, but it’s £17 for a tube. If you don’t wear loose glitter or pigments enough to warrant spending £17, the MUA Glitter Glue is just perfect.

MUA Glitter Glue Review and Swatches

The MUA Glitter Glue is just £2 contains 7.2ml and is packaged within a holographic tube, with a small doefoot applicator. I haven’t read any reviews on the MUA Glitter Glue, and I really don’t know why. I can’t think of any other glitter glues for £2, and to be honest I didn’t have high hopes as it is so cheap but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The glue is completely clear, and does take a little while to dry, and until it’s fully dried it becomes quite sticky – but it’s a glitter glue, so that’s how it works by adhering to the glitter or pigment.

I gave the MUA Glitter Glue a pretty tough job for these swatches, but I am so impressed. The first swatch is just the glue swatched on bare skin, and you can see its stickiness as it dries down. The second swatch is the really rubbish Revolution Crushed Pearl Pigment in the shade Goody Two Shoes.

I haven’t blogged about this pigment as it’s so disappointing, and lacking in pigment. However, when layered over the glitter adhesive, it transforms. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a disappointing loose pigment but the transformation between the swatch with no glue, and then with glue is crazy. For £2 it’s honestly fantastic, and works amazingly well with loose pigments and loose glitters, and minimises fall out too. I honestly don’t think you’ll be able to find a better glitter glue for £2 from any brand, and I can’t recommend it enough.

You can purchase the vegan-friendly MUA Glitter Glue right here.
