I was recently kindly sent three products from Funderm, which is a brand that offers both skincare products and supplements too. They describe themselves as being experts in skincare with years of experience. Their brand spiel is a little cringe in all honesty; “We are lit, legit, & disrupting the skincare industry with a unique “in & out” solution that’ll eliminate the word imperfection from your vocabulary, indefinitely. We offer the sickest solutions made for every sex, skin type or color.”
Funderm offer six products in total;
- Lavi Davi Gummies
- No Drama Natural Red Clay Mask
- Was Bad Invisible Anti-Pimples Gel Treatment
- 24/7 Oil Free Moisturiser
- Clean Master Toner Refreshing Toner
- Clean Master Foam Gentle Cleansing Foam
I was sent three products from the Funderm skincare and supplements collection, so keep on reading to find out my thoughts..
Funderm Lavi Davi Gummies £32
“A yummy, grape flavored nutri-cosmetic supplement for beautiful skin (face & body). Formulated with our innovative Prebiotic & Probiotic complex, LAVI DAVI is gluten free AND has 0% fat.”
These supplements are said to combine both prebiotics and probiotics to rejuvenate your skins’ natural bacterial compounds enabling beautiful skin. They’re supposedly backed by essential minerals, active ingredients and vitamins such as zinc, vitamin E, B6, phosphatidylserine and collagen. By taking the Lavi Davi supplements, they’re designed to help prevent future breakouts keeping your skin ‘beautiful and fresh’.
The Lavi Davi Gummies are £32 and the jar contains 60 gummies. The direction is that you take two gummies per day, chewing before swallowing so this one jar will last you for 30 days. The gummies are said to have a grape taste, but to me they taste more like berries, but they do have somewhat of a subtle bitter aftertaste, but that’s common with any type of supplement as they’re not sweets.
They’re packed with vitamins and minerals, so an aftertaste is to be expected. I have to be honest, I haven’t noticed an improvement in my skin after finishing the whole course but it could be that you need to continue with the Funderm Lavi Davi Gummies to see noticeable effects. I didn’t notice a reduction in breakouts, but that could be because my breakouts are usually hormonal. I wouldn’t purchase these gummies myself as I’d want to see a noticeable improvement in my skin after taking two gummies a day religiously for 30 days, but the Funderm skincare definitely impressed me more.
Funderm Was Bad Anti-Pimples Gel Treatment £29
“WAS BAD is the ultimate invisible anti-pimples gel treatment for problematic facial skin. Thanks to our innovative formula with clinically proven active ingredients and our Prebiotic & Probiotic complex your skin will look pimple-free, purified and balanced.
This delicate oil-free gel combines clinically proven active ingredients such as Prebiotics & Probiotics and wondrous dead sea minerals to unclog pores, exfoliate dead skin cells and control sebum. Day-by-day, WAS BAD’s cutting-edge formula works around the clock to clear pimples and blemishes, soothe irritated skin and restore its delicate microflora back to full health.”
The Funderm Was Bad Anti-Pimples Gel Treatment is a peach coloured gel which you apply to clean and dry skin, focusing on the infected areas. The tube has a pump which I like, but the one downside of the pump is that the gel that is left inside the top of the pump turns into a firm jelly between uses.
So each time you use the treatment, you have to pump out the firm jelly and get rid of it before you can pump out the gel to apply to the skin. You have to do this every time you use the gel, which would lead to quite a lot of wastage over the whole 30ml tube. So although I like the pump, I think this jellying is because the tube has the pump dispenser.
I’ve found the Funderm Anti-Pimples Gel to be really effective at minimising active breakouts, especially if you catch a breakout at the earliest stages. It’s made my breakouts a lot more reduced than they would be, and I think I’ve noticed that they’ve healed quicker too. I also like that it’s super gentle on the skin, with no stinging or irritation which my sensitive skin definitely appreciates.
Funderm No Drama Natural Red Clay Mask £32
“NO DRAMA is a natural red clay mask that will leave your skin purified, balanced and beautiful in only 5 min! The clay is smooth, creamy and has a soft luxurious scent. NO DRAMA is easy to apply and is made for maximum results in minimum time.
NO DRAMA features an innovative blend of clinically proven active ingredients. The formula includes Prebiotics & Probiotics and wonderous dead sea minerals leaving your skin purified, balanced and beautiful. NO DRAMA also contains Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamin E and Vitamin B3 to inhibit sebum production and improve your skins’ texture. The active formula minimizes the appearance of pores by keeping them clean, leaving your face revitalized with never-ending elasticity.”
The No Drama Mask is a clay based mask which you apply to clean and dry skin using the spatula or with your hands. Rinse thoroughly with warm water roughly 5-7 minutes after applying. It can be used 1-2 times a week, and is said to be best suited for combination to oily skin.
The mask is quite thick, with a slightly gritty texture and as I have dry and sensitive skin, I’ve only been using the mask on my blemish prone areas, as my skin is the opposite to the ‘combination to oily’ skin recommendations for the product. It smells nice and fresh, and dries quite quickly providing you apply a thin even layer over the skin. It really helps to reduce any oils, and leaves my skin looking clearer and smooth after each use.
You can purchase the Funderm skincare and supplements over on their website.
