Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation gives everyone scary flashback memories, and amazingly it’s still a foundation they sell today. The Maybelline Dream Matte Blush collection launched under the Dream Matte collection last year, and I knew I had to purchase at least one as I love a matte blush.
Maybelline Dream Matte Blush
“Indulge in soft matte blush perfection with Maybelline’s Dream Matte Blush. This creamy balm-to-powder cheek tint seamlessly blends into the skin for a soft matte effect.”
The Maybelline Dream Matte Blush is £5.49 and available in four different shades, containing 6 grams of product. The packaging is identical to one of their Color Tattoos with a screw on lid, and a chunky clear glass jar. I didn’t know which shade to choose from the four on offer, but I opted for Coy Coral 30 as I can never resist a pretty coral blush.
The Maybelline Dream Matte Blush has a really strange texture, as I expected it to be mousse-like, just like the foundation in the Dream Matte collection. However, in the jar, it feels wet and like a cream but it somehow magically transforms into a powder with no greasiness or shine.
Coy Coral is a really pretty peachy coral shade, and it blends out beautifully. It’s very much an understated blush shade as it blends out to almost nothing, very easily so you have to be careful not to over blend.
I prefer using my fingertips to apply and blend, and it’s honestly foolproof. You cannot go overboard with this particular shade as you just blend it even more, for a seamless finish. It isn’t the most long lasting of cream blushes I’ve tried, but for £5.49 it’s so pretty, and perfect for everyday wear.
