Life is a little bit crazy right now, and we’re all spending a lot more time at home than we’re ordinarily used to. With extra time on our hands, it’s the perfect time to take advantage and tick off all the chores and tasks you’ve had on your home to-do list for a long time. Whenever we transition into a new season, it’s always a nice way to change things up in your home albeit decor, or just rearranging your rooms for a change. I’ve got some spring home transformation ideas, so keep on reading.
Spring Home Transformation Ideas
From the many blogs I read, I know many of us have been spring cleaning and decluttering like mad and it’s so motivating seeing how quickly your progress makes a difference. I went through my wardrobe and put everything I haven’t worn in over a year in a charity donation bag for when the charity shops open again, and it’s amazing how much more inspired I am when choosing outfits as I can see my pieces a lot better, and things are a lot less cramped.
If you don’t fancy a declutter, a lot are inspired by the mega cleaning Instagram accounts tackling their homes from top to bottom. Now the weather’s warmer, now’s a really good time to wash carpets or wash your windows too. In an ideal world I’d love something like self-cleaning conservatory glass to be a real time saver, but until then, there’s some really great window cleaning products you can buy online without worrying about going to hardware stores whilst on lockdown.
My next spring home transformation ideas tip is something I saw on Pinterest, and that’s peel and stick wallpaper. I’ve only ever used conventional wallpaper in our house, and it’s such a laborious process, but peel and stick wallpaper is genius. It’s so much quicker to use, you need fewer tools and you can change up a room, or even just one wall super easily.
Some quicker, simpler spring home transformation ideas that aren’t expensive include things like fresh flowers. It sounds so obvious but spring flowers like tulips or peonies are such a nice addition to any room, and I love having fresh flowers, and that they add a pop of colour to the room.
I’ve also seen some really beautiful window boxes and planters on Instagram lately, where people have added multiple plants and shrubs for a colourful display, and nothing says spring more than pretty spring flowers and there’s loads of tutorials on YouTube that show you how best to cultivate the perfect floral display.
If you’re not the best with living foliage, you’ll have seen everyone fawning over artificial grasses and foliage right now. It’s always in my Instagram and Pinterest feeds, especially pampas grass. Pampas is a nice neutral colour so it’ll never clash with your existing decor, and it adds nice texture to a room too. You can pick up pampas on eBay and Amazon quite affordably, and place them in a cute planter or vase.
I really hope these simple yet effective spring home transformation ideas were helpful.
