Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow Solo Review / Swatches

It’s still crazy that Wet n Wild are finally available in the UK after so many years of only being available in the US. When I placed a Boots order a few months ago, I ordered the Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow Solo as it was an eyeshadow I’d heard really amazing things about and it’s only £1.99 which is crazy.

Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow Solo

I’ve tried a fair few Wet n Wild products, but I’ve had to ask friends to get them for me when travelling to the US so it’s amazing that we no longer have to lust over products we can’t even buy. I love that more and more US based brands are coming to the UK such as Physicians Formula and Essence are both at Feelunique now.

When I bought my Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow Solo, I also bought the shade Brulee too as that’s also another colour that’s super hyped. I have a couple of the Wet n Wild Color Icon Palettes, and I’ve always been impressed with the quality so I was quietly confident I’d love Nutty, and I really do.

The Eyeshadow Solos contain 1.7g of product, which is more than a full sized Urban Decay or MAC eyeshadow. In the pan, Nutty looks like a cool toned shimmery taupe, but I was really surprised how warm it pulls once on my eyes. In this swatch you hopefully see how different it looks compared to the shade in the pan.

It’s still a pretty shade regardless, but it’s just surprising how much an eyeshadow can change from within the packaging on to the skin. It’s my perfect everyday shade, for when I want to wear some eyeshadow, but I don’t want to faff around with crease and transition shades.

I think Nutty looks quite multi-dimensional on the lids too, making it look like I’m wearing multiple shades when in fact it’s just one. Nutty also reminds me of a less sparklier version of one of my all time favourite eyeshadows; NARS Stud, but more shimmery rather than sparkly. It’s extremely smooth, blendable and lasts all day which blows my mind for less than £2.
