I first tried COSRX for the first time back in January, and I’m a massive fan of their One Step Clear Pads, so I was excited to try the COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner. COSRX are a K-Beauty skincare brand which you can find on Feelunique, and they have many skincare products to treat different skin concerns.
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
“The COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is formulated with natural ingredients: 10% of Apple Fruit Water (AHA) & 10% of Willow Bark Water (BHA) and a mineral water base. The formula gently exfoliates dull skin, removes dead skin cells, prevents the early development of whiteheads and blackheads, and helps the skin become clearer, brighter and smoother over time.“
The COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is £19.99 and contains 150ml of product within a plastic bottle, with a spray dispenser. The directions are a little confusing as they recommend you spray the toner onto a cotton pad and gently wipe onto face, avoiding the eye and mouth area. However as it has a spray dispenser, it seems a little pointless as you’re not supposed to spray it on to the skin so it’s a waste to have a spray on the bottle.
When you spray it onto the cotton pad, it doesn’t dampen the cotton pad, so I feel like I have to spray the cotton pad many times to dampen a cotton pad enough to feel like it’s doing anything. I think it would have been much better if it had a stopper on the top of the bottle, like the Pixi Glow Tonic and I end up wasting so much product.
I never feel like I’m getting enough product to saturate the cotton pad, so I wish it came in a different bottle. It does an OK job at clarifying the skin, but it just hasn’t wowed me. The One Step Clear Pads are amazing and are so effective, so I thought this toner would be equally impressive but it’s nowhere near as good. I have already repurchased the toner pads, but I sadly wouldn’t repurchase this COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner.
