Lockdown Gifting Ideas

Whilst many of countries are no longer on a full lockdown, many of us are still having to social distance and work from home. If you have birthday or special occasion during this trying time, it is really quite odd as we can’t see our loved ones and friends like we would normally, and it can leave us feeling a little deflated.

Whilst our birthdays or anniversaries may be very different this year, I wanted to share some lockdown gifting ideas for those that want to buy a gift for a loved one’s special day, but without necessarily having to hit the shops.

Pinterest

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know how much I love Pinterest. It’s my favourite social media platform, and there’s inspiration for absolutely everything from ideas for a DIY candle through to baking the sickliest chocolate cake.

All you have to do is pop a few keywords into the search box, such as best gift for silver wedding anniversary, and you’ll get thousands of pins brimming with great gift ideas to suit all budgets. I like to see Pinterest as a search engine, as you can find practically anything you could possibly want.

Etsy

If you know someone that’s more about the sentimental, unique gifts, Etsy is a really great shout. You can find one of a kind creations, handmade gifts and more. Etsy also allows you to search for items that are shipped from across the world, meaning you can discover some really special and unique gifts you’d never be able to find within a high street store.

Online Jewellers

When it comes to jewellery, I only ever purchase jewellery online now. It’s usually so much more affordable and you can find some really nice and unique pieces. Many online jewellers offer the ability to engrave a special message into the piece.

However, if you want something particularly  special, there are online jewellers that can create jewellery pieces in a loved one’s handwriting, or even print photos onto jewellery too. You wouldn’t ever be able to purchase something like that from an high street jeweller, which is why I had to include it as an option within my lockdown gifting ideas roundup.

I really hope you found these gift suggestions helpful, and they’ve given you some ideas on which sort of gifts you could purchase for your loved one, whilst on lockdown.
