NYX are available almost everywhere within the UK now, and you hear a lot about the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams or Butter Glosses, but I’d never read anything about the NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub before.
I got the NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub in a lip gift set back in December, which was half price, so I have to admit, it’s not something I’d ever have bought myself.
NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub
The NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub is actually called the NYX #ThisIsEverything Lip Scrub, which is a little cringe. I just don’t get why brands call products names with a hashtag.
It’s not very memorable, and from a blogger’s perspective, it’s a nightmare to try to write about a product with a hashtag in the name as you can’t include a hashtag character in the URL for a blog post either.
The NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub is £6 and contains 14 grams of product. The product description isn’t particularly detailed;
“A bold lip is guaranteed to give us life, but a parched pout can totally destroy it. The answer to your vibrant lip color cravings? That’s easy, #THISISEVERYTHING Lip Scrub!
Infused with jojoba oil, this lip scrub is everything when it comes to prepping your pout. Works beautifully with #THISISEVERYTHING Lip Balm or Lip Oil.“
The NYX This Is Everything Lip Scrub is packaged within a black, metal tin and the scrub is a light pink colour. There’s no mention on the NYX website of what the scrub particles are, which is strange for a lip scrub.
It really smells horrible and reminds me of 90’s My Little Pony’s with the sweet plastic scent. It also feels very greasy, and feels unpleasant on the lips.
I’ve always liked NYX’s lip product range, but this is just a total fail unfortunately. So much so, it ended up in the bin, and I’d much prefer the ELF Lip Exfoliator or the Lush Lip Scrub which are both the same price, feel nice on the lips and are considerably more effective at scrubbing the lips too.
