Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm

I was kindly sent the Pixi Vitamin C collection towards the end of last year, and I’ve been working my way through the products. I’ve already reviewed the Pixi Vitamin C Serum, and today I have the Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm to show you.

The Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm is £24 and contains 45ml of product within a pastel yellow coloured plastic tube. It’s described as being a nourishing, and antioxidant rich leave on face mask.

“This Vitamin-C Caviar Balm provides rich, heavenly moisture for your skin. This brightening leave-on mask hydrates and protects your skin all day or night while promoting the production of youth-preserving collagen.“

Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm

The Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm is a facial moisturiser that is said to feature encapsulated vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant. The vitamin C is said to boost your skin’s natural glow, while promoting healthy collagen production.

Its formula features deeply nourishing shea butter and olive oil, willow bark and fruit extracts for gentle exfoliation, as well as vitamin C rich grapefruit, lemon and orange oils too.

Pixi claims the Caviar Balm offers luxe hydration to all skin types, with super simple directions. You simply massage the Pixi Beauty Vitamin C Caviar Balm onto the face gently, allowing the encapsulated vitamins to melt into your skin. Wait for the product to be fully absorbed before moving on to makeup application.

The balm has a lightweight moisturiser like consistency, which easily massages into the skin. It looks and feels like a moisturiser, but it is slightly hydrating than a conventional moisturiser. It has a subtle citrus scent which is nice, and leaves my skin feeling really silky.

I have super dry skin and I don’t find the Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm to offer the same results as a typical hydrating face mask. However, those of you with oily skin, may find the more lightweight formula to be ideal, but I do prefer richer, more intensely hydrating masks (like the Pixi Rose Ceramide Balm) myself.

I do however, think it’s perfect for hotter days when you want nothing but lightweight skincare products, which is why I’ve enjoyed it so much the last few weeks, as the temperatures have definitely increased the last few weeks.
