Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm

I’ve been the biggest Huda Beauty fan ever since I fell in love with their beautiful eyeshadow palettes, so I’m always excited whenever they launch something new. The Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm launched a few weeks ago, and I had to snap it up as it sounded like my perfect lip product.

The Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm is £18 and contains 3ml of product which admittedly isn’t very much for a lip product, especially a product like a lip balm that you’d apply throughout the day.

I knew that though prior to purchase, and it didn’t put me off, but it’s something to consider as you’d get through the tube very quickly with continuous applications throughout the day, everyday.

Although I’ve had mine for nearly two weeks and with regular use, it doesn’t look like I’ve used very much at all, so it could be that a little goes a long way.

An ultra-comfortable liquid balm that combines powerful actives to give you a boost of lasting hydration for silky smooth, fuller-looking lips. The subtle blushed-pink shade has been designed to look gorgeous on everyone.

The hydrating formula is infused with a blend of Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, Soybean and Licorice Extract that work by migrating into fine lines where they swell and give a plumping effect. This action provides maximum hydration for lips that feel plumped and smooth in appearance without any tingling sensation – no pain, BIG GAIN!

The Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm has a very subtle deliciously sweet vanilla-like scent and taste when on the lips but it really is very subtle and only noticeable when first applied.

I loved the look of the photos of Huda wearing the Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm, as her lips looked so plumped and with the prettiest pink hue but it doesn’t impart any colour whatsoever to the lips.

That’s not a negative, but I did think it would be a milky pink colour from the promotional images, but even with multiple layers, there’s no colour and my lips are very, very pale.

In terms of formula, I absolutely love it. ‘Silk’ really is the perfect name for the balm as it feels so silky and smooth on the lips. It feels like a balm with the sheen of a gloss, but the initial gloss-like shine does fade within an hour of wear and you’re then left with a very subtle natural sheen.

Some plumping glosses and balms sting or burn the lips as that’s how they plump the lips. The Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm doesn’t have any stinging or burning whatsoever. You can’t even feel it on your lips as it’s so lightweight and silky.

It does such a great job of making my lips look more perfected, smoother and just prettier. I know that’s a weird description, but it does make my lips look prettier, and even on no makeup days, this balm makes me feel a little more confident and I love how soft and smooth it leaves my lips.

If you like spending a little more money on beauty products you’d get a lot of use from like foundations or mascaras, I think you’d really like the Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydra-Plumping Lip Balm. There’s nothing not to love, and it also looks so beautiful with an iridescent pink finish to the tube. I love this balm, and I’m so happy I bought it as it’s now my favourite lip balm.
