Today is another post in my sun protection review series that I started just over a month ago, and it’s all about the Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF20. I’ve tried a few products from Lavera so far, but I honestly had no idea they even offered sun protection products.
Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF20
Lavera Natural Cosmetics are said to be the leading natural and organic skincare brand certified organic by NaTrue. Their skincare products contain 100% natural and organic ingredients, and their products are cruelty-free and free from parabens, SLS, phtalates, parraffinium, or petrochemicals.
The Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF20 is £19.95 and contains 100ml of product within a white plastic bottle, with a spray dispenser. Lavera also offer different sun protection products with different sun protection factors from SPF20 to SPF50.
“Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF 20 effectively and naturally protects your skin from the harmful UVA and UVB sun rays with 100% natural non nano mineral sun filters giving a medium sun protection.
The organic sunscreen has a carefully balanced light formula with organic sunflower oil and organic coconut oil and natural sun filters which makes this sensitive sun spray well suited for hypersensitive skin and helps minimise the risk of sun related skin irritations.” – Lavera

The Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF20 has a little sticker on the cap recommending you shake before use, and I really would recommend that. If you don’t shake it, it does feel very slightly oily but shaking before use does remedy the oiliness.
As this is a natural sunscreen from a natural and organic brand, it’s not going to smell amazing as the brand isn’t overloading the formula with artificial fragrance like most brands. It certainly doesn’t smell awful, but it’s not my favourite scent for sun care, but the scent isn’t noticeable after around 30 minutes and it’s fully absorbed into the skin.
I have tried the Lavera Sensitive Sun Spray SPF20 on my face and on the body, and it’s better for the body in my opinion. I don’t know if it shows in the image above, but once blended into the skin, it does leave a white cast which is really noticeable on the face, but not so much on the body.
If you have super sensitive skin like mine, a gentle natural formula like this is ideal as you don’t have to worry about allergic reactions, and you know your skin is going to be adequately protected. I also like that this spray sunscreen is available in an SPF30 and SPF50 too, should you wish to have stronger sun protection.
