Easy Ways To Transform A Room
Lock down has inspired many of us to do lots of DIY tasks around the home, especially the kind of tasks we’ve been putting off and putting off. Doing DIY around the home can be pricey, but there’s some things you can do that will transform a room without having to spend a fortune.
It’s perhaps a super obvious one, but a lick of paint makes a massive difference to any room or anything. It doesn’t even have to be a whole room paint job either. You could decide to make one single wall a feature wall, and choose a colour which contrasts nicely with the rest of the room and it will transform your whole room. My lounge is white, but I really want the wall that faces the window to be a nice charcoal colour, and it would be nice to buy cushions and a throw in a matching colour to pull the room together.
If you’re happy with your decor, but are looking for something that will do a great job of transforming your room, wooden flooring can make a massive difference. It doesn’t even have to be real wooden flooring, as there’s lots of faux wood flooring options available too. Once you’ve chosen your perfect flooring for your room, you can then look into the best fixings for skirting boards to ensure they’re fitted correctly. They’re like coving, in that they really finish a room as well as protecting walls from potential damage.
If you use Pinterest for home inspiration, I’m pretty sure you’ll have seen many photos featuring plants. House plants have had somewhat of a resurrection lately, and there’s so many amazing types of plant to choose from. You don’t have to be green fingered to look after house plants, as there’s a lot of low maintenance options like Snake Plants, Chinese Money Plants or the Rabbit’s Ear. I’ve been loving adding new plants to my rooms, and they do a great job at adding colour to a room with no commitment or DIY skills needed at all, so they had to be one of my easy ways to transform a room.
I really hope you found this round-up of easy ways to transform a room helpful.
