The L’Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation launched at the end of 2018 and I put off giving it a try as I was waiting for the full shade range to launch in the UK. I’ve waited for eighteen months and it’s pretty certain we’re not going to get the full shade range which is a shame, but I wanted to give the formula a try with a view that I’d need use my Lightening Drops in order to make it work.
L’Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation
The L’Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation is available in a total of 40 different shades, and the palest shades are Snow, Rose Pearl, and Pearl. However, the palest shade available in the UK from all L’Oreal stockists is 015 Porcelain (the fourth lightest).
What’s strange though, the Porcelain shade is called 405 in the US. I don’t know why it has different numbers, as it makes it even more difficult and confusing to find your shade match, but Porcelain, regardless of the number, is the lightest shade available to us in the UK.
“Meet New L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 hour Freshwear Foundation for a full coverage, no compromise base for the ultimate resistance. With a new standard in longwear coverage it’s transfer-proof, life-proof, party-proof and water-proof so you get more from your makeup.
With this freshwear foundation, longwear no longer means thick and heavy coverage. The innovative oxygen technology gives a lightweight feel whilst the ultra – stretchable formula ensures full coverage application – so a little goes a long way.“

Porcelain is very warm toned, and orange so it takes some blending with drops to make it work. If you’ve tried the original L’Oreal Infallible Foundation, this L’Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation offers medium coverage at the most, whereas the original was definitely buildable with full coverage. It doesn’t emphasise dry patches as much as the original Infallible Foundation, and it does have a nicer, more natural dewy finish.
I would describe this formula as being more fresh, perhaps because it’s lighter on the skin. It claims to be water, sweat and transfer proof but I do find that it transfers and it does wear off during the day. It’s a nice foundation, but I think I prefer the new L’Oreal Skin Paradise Tinted Water Cream Foundation if I had to choose between the two, although they both need better shade ranges in the UK.
